I think you mean cabal.

This is a perfect example for the where did the TAMB go wrong thread

Someone makes a valid point and then somebody else comes along without the ability to create a valid counterpoint and in turn pics out spelling and grammatical errors

For some people it’s all about one upsmanship and trying to get the last word

It wasn't a one-off typeo. It's one of Loons' favourite new words that he's used in different threads.

If he's going to keep using it he should check he knows what it means and spell it correctly.

You’ve just proven my point

It’s a football fans’ message board, not a dissertation for a Doctor of Philosophy

Away with your logic.

Here we have Humza the useless idiot , whilst at the same time apparently being a serious danger to the future of the western world.

Personally I agree with the former , he should have been nowhere near the position of FM for that very reason .
Here he is at a forum of Muslim businessmen . So what. There are business forums taking place every day in every country, many of them white billionaires discussing how they are going to make their already fat wallets thicker , by screwing the even thicker general public.

I suppose you could argue he was a downgrade on Sturgeon since she was dubbed as the useful idiot by the Chinese

It was Stuart Crawford who dubbed her that.  He also called Angus Robertson it as well and also the whole SNP administration.

As reported by the Scottish Daily Express multiple times.

"the Chinese" I assume is in reference is Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC)

That's a classic TAMB move, that one.

Where does he call for "Muslim subversion of the West"?

Is no Muslim allowed to celebrate or even just reference El Andalus - presumably referring to the cultural high points of Granada and Cordoba and so on (just as we do with our own past while admittedly turning a blind eye to the more difficult bits of that past).

What does he mean by "Foreign ethno-religious entities must be purged"? Does that include Christianity or Zionism?

I don't want to live in a theocracy, but I wouldn't trust a twisted twitter clip like this to have any answers.

I have no idea, I never paid attention to the OP, it was only the clip that took my attention. Is there not one bit of you that is worried when you actually listen to the underlying agenda he is promoting, surely you are not that naive?

SNPs climate minister…   Do as I say not as I do.

She's a self-satisfied arse.

She's also another who stabbed Kate Forbes in the back during the leadership contest.

He was a Sturgeon continuation candidate. I always thought it was insane a SNP leadership election came down to the candidate's position on the Gender Reform Bill instead of Scottish autonomy and/or general governance.

I thought Forbes was the best candidate to provide good governance and I stand by that.

She also represented the best chance for the SNP (and the independence movement in general) to reach out beyond the typical independence base, something necessary for us to attain independence.

Any bleeding of SNP votes to the left would likely be picked up by the Greens, who are pro-independence themselves.

It's clear from the polling at the time, the general public thought Forbes would be the best First Minister too (as well as having the most appeal to non-SNP voters):

To what extent, if at all, do you think each of the following would do a good job or bad job as First Minister of Scotland?
[Ipsos; 6-7 March 2023] - Good-Neutral-Bad [Net]

		All voters	2019 Con	2019 Lab	2019 LDm	2019 SNP	2019 DNV
Kate Forbes	35-23-27 [+ 8]	37-28-29 [+ 8]	28-20-40 [-12]	39-23-28 [+11]	40-19-28 [+12]	28-18-19 [+ 9]
Humza Yousaf	29-20-36 [- 7]	11-15-68 [-57]	25-26-38 [-13]	18-29-44 [-26]	46-22-22 [+25]	22-17-26 [- 4]
Ash Regan	15-27-27 [-12] 5-23-51 [-45]	11-29-32 [-21]	10-22-42 [-32]	21-30-19 [+ 2]	11-26-15 [- 5]
Anas Sarwar	31-27-26 [+ 6]	43-30-20 [+23]	50-27-12 [+39]	44-33-13 [+31]	23-26-38 [-14]	16-22-26 [-10]
Douglas Ross	19-18-51 [-33]	54-27-13 [+41]	13-22-57 [-44]	28-32-34 [- 5] 5- 6-81 [-76]	10-20-37 [-26]

The narrowness of the final outcome* really does make me think Forbes would've won if the SNP hadn't lost members over the previous few years, especially towards Alba.

We would be looking at a completely different situation had Forbes become SNP leader and First Minister.

*First preference: Yousaf 48.2%; Forbes 40.7%; Regan 11.1%. After transfers: Yousaf 52.1%; Forbes 47.9% (a 2,142 vote majority).

It was so obvious who the best candidate was, that’s why I am very suspicious of all those who were vocal against KF, they are at it!

It sounds a bit naive, or else disingenuous, to repost a tweet and then claim that you don't have any idea about it, and are not prepared to explain or defend the content of the tweet you just reposted.

The tweet seems to be stoking fear of Islam. It has comments that are probably racist as well as Islamophobic, calling Yusaf vermin, calling for him to be deported or hanged.  I would be more concerned with being associated with that kind of tweet than anything Yusaf said.

Did he? Today? I had a quick Google and couldn't find any quote.

And what evidence do you have that it's not?

And your evidence that London is not what he says it is. "Delusional little cunt" is quite the overreaction, no?

UK national debt passes £3trillion.  We racked up the last trillion in the last 6 years.

it’s unsustainable.  Things need to change or we will be at the imfs door.

Welfare bill needs slashed - pain now or enormous pain in a few years.

You think austerity is the way to go?

Pensioners and their benefits make up over 40% of the bill. What would you do?

You'll just increase pressure on the next largest share disability etc by slashing welfare.

This needs a huge multi-faceted approach, using investment to stimulate growth, a restructuring completely of public services, increasing pension age, maybe means-tested pensions etc.

None of which will let anyone stay in power longer than a year or so as they get fucked by media.

You're right; it's unsustainable and sooner or later the shit will hit the fan and the fallout could be catastrophic.

The UK as a country is being plundered left, right and centre, from the dodgy vape shops and so-called barbers in every high street to the real big bucks being syphoned through London. Virtually every key industry, every utility that we all rely on is owned by companies whose loyalty is to its investors rather than its customers, and we as a country is getting scant return for it.

As for the welfare bill, the 2013 Welfare Reform Act has been an unmitigated disaster. Its purpose was to curb spending on benefits which, it was argued, had spiralled out of control under the Blair and Brown Labour governments, but instead it has had the opposite effect.

If the government wants to reduce the number of people qualifying for state benefits it has to introduce more robust legislation. I don't even mean stricter legislation necessarily either; the issue with the current law is it is so wishy-washy courts are able to drive a coach and horses through it. If you want a visual representation of what happens on virtually a daily basis, think of the pitch invasion by Rangers fans at Firhill about 10 years ago, and the steward waving his arms around pathetically going through the motions of attempting to stop the hunnic hordes from invading the pitch - that's what the current UK benefit legislation looks like to any judge with half a brain.

yes austerity is the way to go.  We will have to find ways of making the disabled more productive.  Not every disability means that you can do absolutely no type of work.

state pension cant be means tested. It would be a legal minefield for the government as people have actively paid in when they could have opted out on the promise of a state pension through qualifying years. People have bought qualifying years.  The only way they could achieve this is by raising the state pension age further which will no doubt happen.  I expect it to be around 70 within the next decade or two.

I do agree that growth is the only way out of this.  That will mean public spending but on infrastructure and encouraging private sector growth trough tax incentives like corporation and capital gains tax reductions. But how do we fund this - we have to reduce other spend.

we of course also still have  unnecessary spend on things like net zero, illegal immigrants, foreign aid, etc.

If we dont do this, we will end up with a bailout and the collapse of thr pound, high inflation and far worse austerity cuts imposed by the Imf.

personally i dont really care if the pound collapses as although it will make going abroad and importing goods more expensive, most of my investments are abroad so it will raise their relative value.  It would be bad for the country though.
