Iron Horse Closed - Where To Drink Pre Match?

UEFA saying you will be allocated entry to game slots from 11am, so really you need to be in the south side for around then.

Church on the Hill and Clockwork do not open until noon from the looks of things, so really its going to be a pretty subdued pre-match for the Czech game (even in town, the Horseshoe does not open until 11am, and they are not taking bookings at the moment)

I have booked myself in to a wee Italian cafe/bar that opens for 10am in Shawlands, but its more just to grab some lunch before the game.

What time would a casino serve alcohol? I've never been in one in my life

Think the one in the Merchant City opposite M&S is 24/7.... we watched the hammering off the USA game in there many moons ago as it was one of the only places in the city that was open to show the game and selling alcohol.

At the moment no.

I didn't think so, I know that you guys are talking about as a pub but the tables is where the casinos make money and with the covid thing i can't see casinos opening anytime soon as how can you social distance at a roulette table or card table, chips exchanging between people constantly it's just not possible

Aye, not somewhere I would consider.

I will probably be in Glasgow for between 9 and 10am as it is, so will just be heading to the south side straight away (booked Church on the Hill for after the game, but content for pre-match)

Spoke to someone at the Clockwork last night, they are still unsure as to what they are doing on the 14th with regards to an opening time but they hope to confirm this soon.

I would expect that as a minimum they will be opening at 11am, maybe they are looking at the logistics of opening earlier and offering drinks along with breakfast which may be possible for them.

I believe Edinburgh Tartan Army have booked up Clockwork for the Czech game.

The Battlefield Rest opens at 11am and are taking bookings for drinks, so have booked myself in there from noon on the day of the Czech game.
