Burj_Alba
Nope, suggesting he could really introduce himself on the international scene at a young age. His games nothing like Mbappe

I remember reading that his Dad always pushed him hard and focussed on the negatives, and how he could improve, rather than coddling him. So, basically Gilmour will be in the top 3 best players in the world, just like Nadal. Conclusive.

I like that conclusion. Hopefully Billy's younger brother turns out to be another maestro. Imagine. It would be like Denmark and the Laudrup's. Hercules Rockefeller
Needs to start every game for us now, phenomenal this evening. What a difference it makes having a midfielder constantly showing for the ball and looking to turn and pass forwards every time he gets the ball. killiefaetheferry
Lovely to watch. An absolutely beautiful footballer. Would be completely at home running the Barcelona midfield ❤️
Malcolm
It’s hard not to get over excited about the lads talent. Truly exceptional in a top level game. Would love to see him go on and become our first world class (I mean Barca, Munich, level) player since the sourness/dalglish era.
Taylor1996
People talk about Foden and Mount, but Gilmour could be better than both of them. Not a knee jerk reaction. This is him at 20, imagine what he's going to be like when he has a couple hundred matches under his belt.
Toepoke
I'm sure OPTA will correct me but I only saw one occasion where he lost the ball. Phenomenal full debut from him

Haggis_trap
Gilmour was absolutely superb. Bossed midfield on his full debut and brought other players into game. The real beauty was free-ing up McGinn to play further up park. With someone to accept ball it also brought best out of defence (who could play out) and McGregor. Rolls Royce of a performance! Caledonian Craig
Quality, quantity and class on his full debut in a pressure-filled Auld Enemy clash. Wow. Man-of-the-match to boot. He has now cemented his place in the side. Take a bow Billy and I look forward to watching him over the next decade or so. Brilliant. Phenomenal full debut from him 91% pass completion and only gave it away 4 times - had eight interceptions too. My Mrs knows next to fuck all about football but when Dixon was saying he was struggling after 20 minutes even she knew he was havering bollocks. Guest Scot1
Gilmour has to potential to be the most important player Scotland has ever produced. It maybe because of Billy that we change the style of football we play from a direct style to a more possession based game at international level. Young Scottish kids will be watching Gilmour and saying, “I wanna play football like Billy”, coaches should use this opportunity to instil a passing/possession based game while Billy is around. That's a good point. The one thing that Gilmour gives us is composure. So it gives us the option to mix it up. Look at Spain. All fabulous talents, but all their players pretty much do the same thing. The balance we had in midfield vs England was the key to winning the midfield battle. Fairbairn
How can he have caught it yet have no close contacts within the squad who also need to isolate?
Bristolhibby
Terrible news. I presume all squad have been rooming in single rooms. This is a disaster. (I also presume Billy being a young fit man he’ll be fine). J
Bobby Russell's Lovechild
It's a dent to the squad, but we're more than covered in midfield. If Tierney went again, I'd be more worried
