After the success of our first Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal “Q&A: Evening with….” event in 2019 with former Scotland captain Colin Hendry, we are delighted to announce our second such event, this time with his former club and international team mate, Kevin Gallacher.

With your MC yet again Hamish Husband, another night of great stories is in store as Kevin (who comes from a footballing family, being the Grandson of Patsy Gallacher, Celtic’s all-time leading scorer with almost 200 goals in over 400 appearances) talks to us about his long career, starting with Dundee United (scoring against Barcelona on route to the 1987 UEFA Cup final), Coventry City, Blackburn Rovers (being part of the 1994-95 Premier League Champion winning side) and Newcastle United (where he was new manager Bobby Robson’s very first signing to the club, and would play alongside England international Alan shearer).

Most of all, hear about his Scotland career, from his debut against Colombia in 1988, to playing in all 3 games at Euro 92, scoring against Italy in the Stadio Olimpico, coming back from two leg breaks to be involved In Euro 96 and scoring vital goals (most importantly two against Austria at Celtic Park) that would take us to the 1998 World Cup, and to face off against the reigning world champions Brazil, who would boast Ronaldo at his peak, in the opening game of the tournament.

On top of this, there will be entertainment on the night with music from the Tartan Army’s very own Ted “better than Elvis” Christopher.

On a practical point, all is subject to whatever the COVID-19 rules might be at that time and should the event be cancelled, ALL tickets will be fully refunded
