I completely forgot about him singing that song, must have heard it a million times growing up as well, just listened to it there. He was really popular with certain generations and a big star when I was young. It was easy to ridicule his music, but it was catchy and sing-a-long and I imagine his shows were great fun which is what entertainment should be about. He seemed a good guy too .
