Liam Cooper could be the quality centre back we are looking for. Guy is 29 so should be around for a good few years at least. Certainly been decent for Leeds United in his first season in the epl.

Think it was the game v Slovakia where he made a fantastic last-ditch tackle to save a certain goal in the penalty area. If he mistimes it it's a penalty.

Liam Cooper had a good game at the back for Leeds today. 3-1 win away at Leicester.

One of the best central defenders in the EPL according to who scored, no mean feat considering how poor the Leeds defensive record looks. Leeds are a breath of fresh air mind you with their attitude towards attacking play.

Great to know we have cover for Declan Gallagher.

Lot of good reviews for McBurnie on the Sheffield United forum, came on at half time with them losing 1-0 and helped them turn the game around to win 2-1.

They appear to have played a 3-4-2-1  formation in the second half with McBurnie as one of the two. A few people on there  seem to think he is wasted as a target man and that he is a lot better on the ground than people think.

Good to see him fit again.

Lyndon Dykes won’t be worrying about Hornby taking his place any time soon, although in fairness the boy hasn’t played much this season and wasn’t exactly helped by his new team mates.

Dykes hasn't scored in 12 games, I would imagine he is worried about anyone and everyone taking his place.

He’s garbage and has scored maybe 1 goal in a year?

Fleck has been playing well and is getting back to his best though.

Every week the case for moving him into midfield gets stronger.

I get that we were severely lacking high quality centre backs when he was first put there, but Hanley, Hendry, McKenna, and Cooper have all been in pretty good form since then.

Where as Callum McGregor has not been anywhere near his best in months. I hope we try McTominay out in midfield in at least 1 of our next 3 games and see how it goes.

Just saying what his teams fans are saying. He's been rubbish for Scotland but he is a far better player than Dykes.

Fleck is playing better

Only a stats site but fraser had his best game for Newcastle by a mile last night according to who scored.

Dykes over McBurnie every time. It’s a mentality thing as much as anything. Dykes is a proper competitor, McBurnie doesn’t seem one for the trenches. Dykes also has pace.
