Apparently Crystal palace where after him in the summer, Peterborough have said they will not sell unless they get a very big offer after selling Toney, But Scotland have been calling up Clarke in the youth teams so will hopefully be checking Dembeles progress.

Thats all just speculation Tbf. He only started playing pro football at 21 for grimsby according to wiki. Before that he was with the Nike football academy so he may not have been deemed worthy of a call up by the sfa for the youth teams.

We will only know for sure is if Clarke asks him and he says no. He's probably not worth a call up anyway. He's playing league 1 at the age of 24 so he's not exactly a world beater.

Sounds about right. Far better younger prospects out there.

I ain't ruling out the guy completely. If he moves up a level to say championship or epl and does well then he should be considered. He has some attributes that we could do with like speed and dribbling skills. If we are playing a 3 5 2 then he would only be much use playing alongside the striker like fraser did recently.

With us playing 3 5 2 our wingers chances of playing have been greatly reduced unless they can play wing back.

Scott Banks goal v wolves (u23).

Owen Brown tweeted this but can't share a tweet on here.  Anyway, go to 2.53 to see the video. Fantastic goal.

Scott Banks was on loan at my club (Clyde) two seasons ago - stood out every time he played, great potential, really down to earth lad !!

Hopefully nothing serious.

McLaughlin isn’t playing so McCrorie would probably be the best option.

Need Marshall though, he was terrific last month.

Not a snowball’s chance in hell McCrorie would play in  Serbia ahead of McLaughlin.

I hope that within the next eighteen months both McCrorie and Doohan will be ready to make their Scotland debuts. They both look promising goalkeepers.

It's highly likely that they will both need to leave their parent clubs however.

Agree.

Theyd do a fine job at good SPL clubs though.

McCrorie does have a good chance of succeeding Allan McGregor in a couple of years too.

McCrorie becoming Rangers No. 1 would be good for him and the national team. Gerrard really does not strike me as being a manager to trust youth however.

Jordan Archer getting back into the game with Motherwell is a wee bit of unexpected good news. He'll have to fight for his place but if he does well then he can extend that six month contract further.

Steve Clarke is attending the Embra derby this weekend. A great chance for Kevin Nisbet to show what he can do.

Rangers have a lot of promising youngsters just now so hopefully Gerrard looks to promote youth a little more but it doesn’t look good on that front.

Nisbet is a great shout for the next squad, you’d expect Clarke to take a bigger squad this time round and it would be nice to see Nisbet and Griffiths in it.

I read a story last season that his dream is to play for the Ivory Coast, alongside his younger brother
