McLean is better than Jack.

That would be my only change.  The team pretty much picks itself which is good.

Keith Downie from sky reporting Ryan Fraser has done his hammy and had pulled out the squad

That’s a blow after his last couple of performances for us. If Clarke was planning to play him in the same position again we have plenty of cover in that area I suppose.

I'll change my mind a few times before Thursday but how about this -

Marshall

McTominay     Cooper     Tierney

Armstrong     Jack     McGregor     Robertson

McGinn

Christie          Dykes

Somehow cannot see Armstrong being played as a right wing-back. I think that will be O'Donnell or Palmer.

I noticed in that podcast that they didn't discusss McKenna as a left centre back option; he's been playing regularly in a defence doing quite well. Gallagher and McTom they thought stick-ons but saw Tierney and Cooper as CB options. Remember Willie Miller and Levein arguing about Tierney and McKenna; Miller thought McKenna's strength would be pivotal while Levein wanted Tierney for his 'cleverness.'

Well 14 hours later and nothing to say he has pulled out of the Scotland squad.

I don’t think he even made the Newcastle bench yesterday so he is most likely injured.

He probably won’t officially pull out until tomorrow.

Forest are unsurprisingly looking much better now under Hughton and improved at the back so wondering if McKenna will come in.

Guess it comes down to where Clarkes wants to put Scott McT. For a game of this magnitude he needs to be in central midfield I think.

Think Clarke has been utilising McTom distribution from the back which was excellent tbf. Think his inclusion more than warrants the right centre back position (of a 3) after October’s games.  Ryan Jack is a stick on, just the right person alongside him his the main concern imo.

I checked the match facts and all I saw was he got a yellow in the 55th minute and played the full 90. You never know..

He tweaked it a bit. That's why he didn't take the penalty.

Same injury as Fraser, difference is, Fraser had a weekend rest.
