kiltedlegs
Start again from October, we are top of this group. Great last min goal by Israel last night. Ugly performance by us but it's 3 points that matter. We have a chance to reset this campaign in October and there's always the possibilty a lot of the other teams could draw a lot. Am i right in thinking if we win this group we get a play off spot for 2022?

Think only two teams from the Nations League get in WC 2022 play offs so need to win a semi final ( against another group B winner and then a final.) Think it all depends on who qualifies in the WC qualifications. But more wins and we could get a higher seeding for the qualifiers.

A chance to win 2 games and get to the final, a bit like what have this time around for the Euros.
romanticscot
We have two home games in October in the Nation's league and we should be pressing to win them both - if we did that we would be looking good for our final two away games. October can be a very good month for us.
McDange
It reads well just now but let's not kid ourselves, 2020 is going to be 2020 for Scotland. October will involve a slim win against Israel. A few days later an actual Czech team will comfortably see us off and by the Slovakia game a few days after that, fatigue will have kicked in. We are not designed for that kind of run of games and club managers will largely influence about how much game-time their players get meaning some more questionable tactics and positioning. November will start with a battering from Norway - like they did to NI last night https://www.skysports.com/football/n-ireland-vs-norway/report/423928 - then away to Slovakia and Israel on low morale won't be pretty. Might be doom and gloom but very little in recent, or longer, history that suggests otherwise. Forgetting any tactical plans or systems, some of our players are lacking in even the most basics - passing a ball in a line to another player or tackling someone running towards you. paper_lion
How many points save us from relegation or get us promoted? Around 6pts to be fairly confident of staying in League B and >11pts to even have a small chance of promotion maybe? Difficult to get a feel for the opposition given how odd the first two sets of fixtures were. Will we even get through all the games? I think 12 might be enough to win the group but it would depend on where we get them. If we could win our next two games, which are at home, then picking up one point from each of our last two away games would give us 12 points and probably win the group. But if we lose to Czech Rep at Hampden and then we could win our other three games, that would give us 13 points. But that might not be enough as the Czech Rep would probably overtake us by winning their other 3 games. So, too early to say really. Our target should be 3 points from the next game. Wan game at a time and awe that. If (and it's a big IF) we can beat Slovakia at Hampden that would set up a huge game against the Czechs which would probably turn out to be the decider on who wins the group. The Czech Rep are still big favorites to win this group, IMO.

You should let their employers know how incapable they are. The players might not be world beaters but we are not playing any of the elite nation we are playing countries of similar ability. There is no reason why we shouldn't be competitive.

Although, I'm not convinced the Czechs will have their full squad the rest of the way given how seriously their FA, clubs and government are taking individual cases among their staff. ~10pts could top the group if issues continue for them.
