Taylor1996
The Scotland starting XI is: Marshall; Jack, McKenna, Tierney, Robertson; Forrest, McTominay, McGregor, Christie; McGinn; Dykes. SUBS: McLaughlin, McCrorie, Paterson, Fleck, Gallagher, Cooper, Burke, Armstrong, McLean, O’Donnell, Palmer, Taylor
Toepoke
Will be interested to see the formation there! 🤨
Clyde1998
Interesting that Tierney is preferred at centre-back than Cooper or Gallagher (I thought he'd be in at right-back) and Jack at right-back over O'Donnell and Palmer. Although does give a clear indication of how poor we are defensively that we're playing two players out of position in our back four. Taylor1996
I'm guessing it'll be 4-4-1-1 Marshall; Jack, McKenna, Tierney, Robertson; Forrest, McTominay, McGregor, Christie; McGinn; Dykes.

Possibly. Or could McTominay be CB and Jack midfield, Tierney RB?

Caledonian Craig
I'd say they will line up something like this:- ......................................................................Marshall....................................................................................... ...........................Scott McTominay........Scott McKenna............Kieran Tierney............................................. Ryan Jack.........................................................................................................................Andrew Robertson ........James Forrest..................................Callum McGregor................................Ryan Christie..................... ....................................................................John McGinn................................................................................ ...................................................................Lyndon Dykes............................................................................... BraveheartGordon
I thought this line up before the starting 11 was announced. Marshall Tierney McTominay McKenna Robertson Jack McGregor Forrest McGinn Christie Dykes if you’re purely reading off the numbers then it’s something like Marshall McTominay McKenna Tierney Robertson Jack McGregor Forrest McGinn Christie Dykes or potentially Jack sitting behind McGregor and McGinn for more of a 4-3-3 shape. I’m very intrigued.

Not often I agree with you, but you've called this one. Thank fuck Tierney is nowhere near right back.
Taylor1996
According to the Daily Record it's the obligatory 4-2-3-1 If they're right: Marshall; Jack, McKenna, Tierney, Robertson; McTominay, McGregor Forrest, , McGinn; Christie Dykes. ErsatzThistle
That back three is a huge gamble by Clarke. I hope it pays off. He's going to look daft if it fails though. I do have a feeling that McGinn and Dykes could work well together.
Templeton_Peck
Defending set pieces could be an issue.
Malcolm
Mctominay. McKenna. Tierney forrsest. Jack. Mcgregor. Robertson Mcginn. Christie Dykes
loanhead-tartan
352 with mctominay in the back 3 or 4411 with jack at RB . Can’t see many other options
Clyde1998
Could it possibly be: Marshall Jack, McTominay, McKenna, Tierney Forrest, McGregor, Christie, Robertson McGinn Dykes Don't know if they've got a right winger we need to contain with two defensive players on the left side? Hercules Rockefeller
I would reckon this will be the formation based on McTominay being number 2 and Jack and McGregor complementing each other well in the Kazakhstan game last November: Marshall Tierney McTominay McKenna Robertson Jack McGregor Christie McGinn Forrest Dykes Would be surprised if Jack is at right-back - surely Clark would play Palmer instead if that was the case. loanhead-tartan
Aye mctominay at the back

SkyBlueScot
Some time back it was said that Jack was playing right back in training but he pulled out injured. May be seeing the fruit of that?

I love Flashscores, but sometimes their intel is manky. They haven't got the memo on the Tour Championship golf scoring right now either 😂
Taylor1996
Sky have confirmed it's three at the back: McTominay, McKenna and Tierney.
ProudScot
Weird that Fleck isn’t in the starting lineup at the expense of the vastly overrated McGregor IMO
