biffer
SRU has formally proposed that the Edinburgh v Glasgow games in August are used as test events for socially distanced crowds. Rugby is apparently way ahead of football wrt this. Mainly because they were already talking to ministers when football was still arguing about reconstruction. fringo
I think stuff like this was mentioned on Off the Ball a few weeks back with Jason Leach on air and Celtic were also involved in chats about testing events.
Duncan Blackheart
I hope it gets the go ahead. Murrayfield (stadium and surrounds) is massive, so I’d imagine it’s the best place to start. Just as an aside, I was talking to someone this weekend who was in a virtual meeting with the English Premier League chiefs and government reps last week (yes, I am basically one of The Establishment). They are pretty confident that barring a spike in virus rates, it will be September now where everyone is back to normal crowd attendance at domestic games in England. Anyway, must go. Me, Donald, Boris and the rest of the Illuminati have to bump off a professor who has invented a car that runs on water.
