Surely the scenario of clubs/players breaking the protocols was part of the risk assessment undertaken prior to the league starting,  part of this would surely detail what would happen if a Covid cluster occurred & what would happen to clubs from the area involved. Surely punishments for clubs/players breaking protocols would have been part of the risk assessment & been put in place before any games took place. Total incompetence if this was not undertaken by all involved in the decision to restart football.

The SPFL tried to get powers to put rules in place, but the clubs said no.

The whole debacle has shown that the clubs shouldnt be running the league, at least not in the current format. The voting structure is a farce, it should have been changed when Rangers went out of business, but Stewart Milne for some reason decided he didnt want it, so chance gone.

They need to get rid of the clubs running the show, because every single one of them has nothing but self interest at heart. Listening to people over the last few months saying they are acting for the general good of the game, which also happened to be for their benefit was revolting, at least be honest FFS.

There needs to be a board of 3 or 5 people running the league, they make the decisions through meetings and a simple majority vote to decide issues.

As much as i agree with you, can you imagine if any of the 3 to 5 board members had any alliegance to celtic or rangers 😂😂😂. Even if the didnt theyd be accused of it

I do wonder though, where do we recruit these people from?

Do we end up with a group of Neil Doncaster’s running the game?

You’d end up with guys coming in full of ideas, getting all their mates from their last company on board, starting lots of projects, then all jumping ship to their next company after 2-4 years and leaving a mess for the next lot Of ceos etc to clear up.

I originally said Aberdeen should have forfeited the St Johnstone game, with them being awarded the win. I still think thats probably right, but it might be a bit harsh for some.

I said they should forfeit the points too, or be forced to play with a weakened squad. Can’t see how they can make up a rule and then ban people that break it before hand.

The Aberdeen eight are certainly guilty of naivety, but were probably unlucky due to the spread of the virus in the town that weekend (assuming they didn't break any club rules re socialising of course).

Bolingoli is guilty of being missing when common sense was being handed out. He deserves everything the club can hit him with, and also punished for clearly breaking quarantine last weekend.

However none of them should be subject to any retrospective sanctions through rules introduced subsequently by the authorities - no matter how naive and stupid their actions were.

The only club penalised for the Aberdeen and Celtic fiasco is Hearts. You honestly couldn't make up how inept and corrupt Scottish football is but the vast majority of clubs have shown by their actions that they are happy to go along with it all. Thankfully all this does is unite the Hearts support and ensure our club will come back stronger.

You are doon, you were the shitiest side in the Scottish top flight and that's saying something, get over yourself and stop trying to overplay Hearts standing in the game. Nobody gives a fuck about Hearts, that much is evident.

Enjoy Arbroath and stop whining, but if your away support does unite then perhaps the embarrassing travelling support you currently have might improve.
