We've already fucked up once, and I think Celtic and Ross County are the only teams with in house facilities. Large spike in the general population, then you can start to see testing not being turned around in time.

I'm fairly confident that they will get that sorted out. But if not, it could be a big problem. If the private labs don't get there act together then the SG could be forced to pull the plug on the whole thing. Getting false positives isn't a big problem unless they start to get loads of them. False negative are a much bigger issue and it's much harder to spot them.

dandydunn
Aberdeen thinking a maximum of 9,000 will be allowed into the stadium this season with no away fans at all. Hopefully that will change. As a valued prior season ticket holder, your continued support is more important to Aberdeen than ever before. The impact of coronavirus across our society has been deeply damaging and will be felt for many more months to come. Football is no exception and we’ve been working to limit the damage and close our funding gap by around £6million through wage cuts fresh investment, operational savings and making use of the government’s jobs retention scheme and rates relief. We know that everyone’s situation is different, but we’d love to have you back helping the Club we all love by purchasing a 20/21 season ticket. With just under 1,000 remaining, this might be your only way of attending games this season. We still have 6 months interest free available. Based on our current configurations, we are capping season ticket sales at 9,000. This is the maximum we believe we can accommodate in the stadium allowing for one metre social distancing and families sitting together. Whilst we won’t be playing in front of even a partial crowd when we take on Rangers at Pittodrie this Saturday, it has not stopped Dons supporters from snapping up season tickets, taking the total to over 8,000. This, along with those not claiming refunds and those signing up for AberDNA membership, has been a major factor in helping us out of the financial hole caused by the pandemic. The 9,000 partial capacity is our best case scenario and this will likely be phased, but it’s important we let supporters know that there is the increasingly real prospect that we won’t be able to sell match by match tickets to home supporters this season, let alone away fans, if we reach this number through season tickets. The only way to view matches could be as a season ticket holder. We sincerely hope that isn’t the case and that we are able to return to full crowds during the season but this is looking doubtful and we want to make sure that we look after our season ticket holders first and foremost. This week may be your last chance to buy a season ticket for 20/21 and we hope that, if you are able, you will do so to make sure you are able to view or attend games and continue to help your Club get through this challenging period. Stay safe and stand free! Dave Cormack Chairman

Stay safe and stand free! Dave Cormack Chairman Good and sensible statement. I would like to know more about the pay per view idea.. If that would help the clubs not only in the short term. The likes of Ramy and VA and myself (now categorised VA!) and probably many otherswouldnt mind chipping in at least a tenner a game. Times are changing. There is nothing that beats going to the game but a whole lot of prople cant. Online shopping is the way ahead especially just now.

kumnio
Obviously Cormack will know far better than me, but 9000 with 1m social distancing seems impossible to me. I would have thought it would be about 1/9th of the stadium capacity. www.thelocal.dk/userdata/images/article/a31a89fe92ddb4589eeba5b2f0c98f20c6e00f73950d66304efb76ffde42d02d.jpg Although looking at the Danish crowd, its maybe 1/7th.
