The Georgia Guidestones

Recommended Posts

'Ironically', today (Sunday March 22, 2020) is the 40th anniversary of the erection of The Georgia Guidestones.

The Georgia Guidestones are a granite monument erected in 1980 in Elbert County, Georgia, in the United States. A set of 10 guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient language scripts.

One slab stands in the center, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned. An additional stone tablet, which is set in the ground a short distance to the west of the structure, provides some notes on the history and purpose of the guidestones. The structure is sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge". The monument is 19 feet 3 inches (5.87 m) tall, made from six granite slabs weighing 237,746 pounds (107,840 kg) in all. The anonymity of the guidestones' authors and their apparent advocacy of population control, eugenics, and internationalism have made them a target for controversy and conspiracy theory.

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Traditional Chinese, and Russian.

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

Do you reckon Jesus is gonna bother turning up again ? Rapture and off , leaving the rest of us to scrap about ? Sounds like a neo liberal prepper content with the demise of 80% of the population. Is the Antichrist the second coming and I claim the prize .
with all due respect.

What did you do that for?

At me ? Genuine questions. The wish to eradicate 80% plus of people is long established. Any more than the necessary workers are a drain on their resources.

Yes, that's the plan from before the foundation of the world (and it's 'no bother').

Rapture and off?

Jesus (the Groom) comes for His Bride (His church) and meets 'her' in the clouds and takes 'her' to heaven.

The 'Marriage Supper of the Lamb' will be the highlight there.

Jesus returns to earth in 7 years time (The Second Coming) to save Israel from obliteration.

Those 'left behind' will have chosen their sin over repentance.

No, the antichrist is the one world political leader who comes to power on a platform of peace.

He will claim to be God, and the Jews will foolishly accept him as their long awaited messiah.

Only when the antichrist double-crosses the Jews at the halfway mark of the 7 year tribulation will they see him (and Jesus for that matter) for who they really are.

They are referred to by the illuminati as 'the useless eaters'.

No, the rapture could happen at any time.

When it does, the Second Coming will be 7 years later.

Jesus removes His Bride (His church) from earth so that they don't have to suffer during the tribulation (which will be the worst time in history).

Think of it this way...

The rapture is when Jesus comes for his Bride, and the Second Coming is when Jesus comes with His Bride.

It's the feast in heaven that symbolically celebrates the 'union' of Jesus and His church.

Yes, the table is continually and incrementally being set for the arrival of the antichrist.

My understanding is that a Russian, Iranian, and united Arab alliance will attack Israel and fail thanks to the antichrist.

Israel, waiting for the messiah, will be fooled.

Although I have a different worldview, I am, however, intelligent enough to know what empirical proof really is.

'Satanic' guidestones blown up then torn down...

‘America’s Stonehenge’ demolished after explosion

Georgia Guidestones, engraved with enigmatic message in 12 languages, had drawn controversy and conspiracy theories.

A contentious granite monument in the United States that some dubbed “America’s Stonehenge” but many conservatives said is satanic has been demolished after it was heavily damaged in a bombing.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) said “unknown individuals” detonated an explosive device at the Georgia Guidestones, a monument about 177km (110 miles) east of Atlanta, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The agency later posted video footage from a surveillance camera showing the explosion and a car leaving the scene, and said the entire structure was demolished for safety reasons. No one was injured in the blast.

Before it was vandalised, the 19-foot-tall monument consisted of one upright slab at the centre of four larger tablets arranged around it, with a large rectangular capstone placed atop the others.

The collection of gray monoliths was erected in 1980 in the middle of a large field near the town of Elberton, Georgia, and was listed as a tourist attraction by the state’s travel site and the Elbert County Chamber of Commerce.

The slabs were engraved with an enigmatic message in 12 languages, including Babylonian Cuneiform, Egyptian Hieroglyphics and Classical Greek, according to a post on the county chamber of commerce’s website.

The message called for the preservation of humankind by limiting the world’s population to fewer than a half-billion people to live “in perpetual balance with nature”, according to official translations of the text.

“The Guidestones also serve as an astronomical calendar, and every day at noon the sun shines through a narrow hole in the structure and illuminates the day’s date on an engraving,” the Georgia travel website reads.

But the monument has been a source of controversy and also drew far-right or religious conspiracy theories, as no one knew the precise origins of the structure or who was behind it.

It was built by a local granite finishing company at the behest of a mysterious benefactor who commissioned the work.

The Elberton Granite Association says (PDF) it all began when “a well-dressed and articulate man” – identifying himself as “R C Christian” – came into its office in Elberton “and wanted to know the cost of building a large monument to conservation”

The man said “the sponsors had planned the monument for years” and that the 10 guides “were carefully worded as a moralistic appeal to all peoples regardless of nationality, religion or politics”, the association recounted.

But some right-wing US politicians said the monument was “satanic” and welcomed the decision to tear it down after the bombing this week.

“The Georgia Guidestones are evil and Satanic. I am glad to see authorities tearing it down. We only support and worship the one true God, not an imposter and the Father of all lies,” Arizona state senator Wendy Rogers wrote on Twitter.

Following news of the bombing, former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Kandiss Taylor, a third-place finisher in the May 24 Republican primary who made removal of the monument part of her campaign platform, suggested its demise was an act of divine intervention.

“God is God all by Himself. He can do ANYTHING He wants to do. That includes striking down Satanic Guidestones,” she tweeted.

Taylor later released a video insisting she would never support vandalism and that “anyone who goes on private or public property to destroy anything illegally should be arrested.”

The Elberton Granite Association, which had maintained and preserved the stones, put the cost of replacing them at hundreds of thousands of dollars, according to local media.

Apologies. Missed this first time round.

The 'second coming' occurs 7 years after 'the rapture'.

That time on earth is referred to as the 'Tribulation' (with the final 3 1/2 years referred to as 'The Great Tribulation').

Jeez man, the tribulation sounds like hard work.....but the great tribulation....

Absolutely...

"The Tribulation is a future time period when the Lord will accomplish at least two aspects of His plan: 1) He will complete His discipline of the nation Israel (Daniel 9:24), and 2) He will judge the unbelieving, godless inhabitants of the earth (Revelation 6 - 18). The length of the Tribulation is seven years. This is determined by an understanding of the seventy weeks of Daniel (Daniel 9:24-27; also see the article on the Tribulation). The Great Tribulation is the last half of the Tribulation period, three and one-half years in length. It is distinguished from the Tribulation period because the Beast, or Antichrist, will be revealed, and the wrath of God will greatly intensify during this time. Thus, it is important at this point to emphasize that the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation are not synonymous terms. Within eschatology (the study of future things), the Tribulation refers to the full seven-year period while the “Great Tribulation” refers to the second half of the Tribulation.

It is Christ Himself who used the phrase "Great Tribulation" with reference to the last half of the Tribulation. In Matthew 24:21, Jesus says, "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall." In this verse Jesus is referring to the event of Matthew 24:15, which describes the revealing of the abomination of desolation, the man also known as the Antichrist. Also, Jesus in Matthew 24:29-30 states, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days . . . the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory." In this passage, Jesus defines the Great Tribulation (v.21) as beginning with the revealing of the abomination of desolation (v.15) and ending with Christ’s second coming (v.30).

Other passages that refer to the Great Tribulation are Daniel 12:1b, which says, "And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time." It seems that Jesus was quoting this verse when He spoke the words recorded in Matthew 24:21. Also referring to the Great Tribulation is Jeremiah 30:7, "Alas! for that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s distress, But he will be saved from it." The phrase “Jacob’s distress” refers to the nation of Israel, which will experience persecution and natural disasters such as have never before been seen.

Considering the information Christ gave us in Matthew 24:15-30, it is easy to conclude that the beginning of the Great Tribulation has much to do with the abomination of desolation, an action of the Antichrist. In Daniel 9:26-27, we find that this man will make a "covenant" (a peace pact) with the world for seven years (one “week”; again, see the article on the Tribulation). Halfway through the seven-year period—"in the middle of the week"—we are told this man will break the covenant he made, stopping sacrifice and grain offering, which specifically refers to his actions in the rebuilt temple of the future. Revelation 13:1-10 gives even more detail concerning the Beast’s actions, and just as important, it also verifies the length of time he will be in power. Revelation 13:5 says he will be in power for 42 months, which is three and one-half years, the length of the Great Tribulation.

Revelation offers us the most information about the Great Tribulation. From Revelation 13 when the Beast is revealed until Christ returns in Revelation 19, we are given a picture of God’s wrath on the earth because of unbelief and rebellion (Revelation 16-18). It is also a picture of how God disciplines and at the same time protects His people Israel (Revelation 14:1-5) until He keeps His promise to Israel by establishing an earthly kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6)."

If He knows what’s coming, why not just nip it on the bud? Alternatively, why the advance warning? Might as well just do hee haw if it’s locked in.

Predestination is a fundamental tenet of the Calvinist doctrine, so if you’re Church of Scotland you may as well just crack on and do what you want as there’s nothing you can do about it and you’re probably going to the bad fire anyway 🔥🔥🔥
