Keep telling folk this, a Northern Ireland Trainspotting

I had never heard of it until this summer when I was in Belfast. My mate put it on, it was brilliant !!!

Sleeper at the QMU were superb last night. Unfortunately my 30 year dream of Louise spotting me in the crowd and asking to be my girlfriend didn’t pan out. Think my wife was just as disappointed as me to be honest!

Incidentally, QMU is a cracking wee venue. Hadn’t been for a while but the sound was as good as any gig I’ve been too.

I came on holiday on Saturday and was really disappointed to have missed this. Not so disappointed to have missed Hampden right enough.
Pretty sure you weren’t the only guy in the crowd to feel let down ! 😊

Was on the way back from yoga last night and Tony Blackburn was on the car radio. He played song that I liked , from someone I had never heard of.
When I got home I listened to more of their music and really liked it . I noticed the guy was playing at Oran Mor in November so I have bought 2 tickets .

The artist is called Lack of Afro. I feel like I could be setting a record for being the oldest person at their gigs ever. Has anyone  seen him or even heard of him ?
The fact Tony Blackburn was playing his music and that it’s a dark venue gives me a wee bit of hope , but just wondering if anyone can confirm if its all young folk that go to his gigs.? am going anyway but would be good to be prepared!

ps. The second ticket is for my husband  just incase it prevents anyone from replying.

What a  wild card. Brilliant night, full band, fantastic music. If you like funk/soul/disco get yourself a ticket for la belle angele in Edinburgh tonight you will not be disappointed . This is their last tour. Average fan age was about 48 and a half…

Caught Refused on their farewell tour recently, and have just added stoner rockers The Vintage Caravan to 2025's Scandinavian collection after Opeth earlier in the year.   Disappointed I'll miss (Danish) Volbeat on Monday, mainly since I found out Bush (Anglo-American) will be in support.

Do have Katatonia (Swedish, not Welsh), Crobot & Clutch lined up in a 12-day span in December.

Very good, although Paisley got there first 😜

Great! Must be inspirational, to take up an instrument.

Fantastic! Did you see this, @Big Ramy 1314?

Oh mate I did, couple mates sent it to me.. I think it's brilliant! I play that song on my pipes, and would love to have been involved in something like this.

Thanks for the link Exile pal..🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👊

Was at the Usher Hall on Thursday night for Suede. They were never a band I ‘loved’ but did like them in the 90’s. They were very good even for someone who isn’t a superfan. At almost 59 years of age Brett Anderson has more energy than a lot of men half his age. Just disappointed they didn’t play The Wild Ones which is possibly my favourite song of theirs.

Thats the second time i have been at the usher hall, its a good venue. Though on both occasions there has been a really drunk wummin constantly falling into me , the one on Thursday night could hardly stand up her boyfriend had to support her. She wasn’t a wee young lassie either . I dont have a problem with folk being a bit tipsy I had a few drinks myself, but she was annoying absolutely everyone around her.

That sounds just like Germany. At least you didn’t need to worry about tumblers wrapping you on the napper

To think there’s people on here who are advocating for that to be a weekly occurrence over here

Saw Belle & Sebastian at Troon Town Hall last night. Its not a group I know well at all, infact I had only heard about 3 songs before I went. But really enjoyed it.
Pretty inoffensive easy listening music and Stuart Murdoch  interacted well with the audience. He is pretty funny. Has a clear affection for Ayrshire too which was nice .

I really like B&S and one of my favourite songs (of any band) is their Sleep The Clock Around.

Went to see David Byrne at the Clyde Auditorium (Armadillo) on Friday night and if I see a better gig this year, or next, I’ll be doing well. It’s quite simply fantastic. I’ve read 4 reviews and they’ve all given it 5/5 and I somehow feel that’s selling it short!!

Was watching Tyler Childers at the Hydro, didn't realise David was next door! He always puts on a great show. Tyler wasn't too bad either TBF.
