Och Aye
David Moyes reacting to calls for English League Cup to be scrapped by having a British Cup and England's top league teams could withdraw if they want (its all about them). Not quite old enough to remember Anglo Scottish Cup but I assume it faded away from lack of interest. Got an early memory of Rangers playing Chesterfield. dandydunn
This would involve a bit of football and running battles the length of Britain.

Huddersfield
I have a vague recollection that Hudderfield played Airdrie in some competition or another (which I always thought was the Anglo-Scottish Cup) but I checked on Wiki & we never entered it. I thought it was maybe 1971 time so slightly before I started going. It might have just been a friendly that stuck in my mind, but it's doing my head in now & I can't find any trace in any of the history books that I have. I could swear I remember seeing a programme for it though.

One of Ardrie's major achievements. Not so much for Derby.
