Hmmmm who to trust ?

Medical science whose worth is there for all to see and from which I have reaped the benefits of my whole life.

Or some wacky nutcase conspiracy theorist from off the internet.

It's a tough one alright.

Big Pharma has joined with Big Tech.  Ask yourself why Bill Gates has interview after interview telling you that you must be vaccinated.  Then watch his Ted Talks video on how to reduce the C02.  Aaah!

ok ... I see confused face emoticons, fair enough,  can deal with that.  Folks, please, let's have an honest discussion of what is going on and being done in our Country please?  Take care.

There's nothing cogent here. Just a spattering of buzz words with no exposition or explanation.

It's almost as if it was written by a machine.

My experience with the folk who obliquely cite Bill Gates TED talk is they haven't even listened and understood it. Normally it's cited as some sort of population control argument. When if you listen to the talk and understand it you'll hear he is speaking about how birth rates inherently change in different socio-economic situations. Which is completely correct and has been evidenced by population data going back decades.

However you'll never get any indepth analysis from these types just inneundo and ego-stroking fuelled by the biochemistry of humans where novel ideas are given a dopamine response. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5861725/

If you can't formulate your theory in a structured and evidenced way in your native language then the probability of it actually holding any water is vanishingly small.

The Kary Mullins PCR test is quote-mining and shows a misunderstanding of the science. It's the same nonsense that gives us quantum consciousness stuff from "mystics" cause they don't understand the measurement problem in quantum physics and think a conscious observer changes the universe when the double slit experiment is completed.

Mullins claims about Fauci were about HIV and AIDS where he(Mullins) had supported a paper claiming HIV did not cause Aids. We now know this to be incorrect.

So folk are quote-mining someone speaking incorrectly about something and then using it to speak on something else. If you go back to the source material and look at it in full this all becomes readily apparent. Folk are sheep though and they follow their leader without critically analysing what is said, then come on and spout it on message boards thinking they are profound.

based on the video by 'that's life but not as we know it' on this topic:

Three north-east MSPs have welcomed funding that will benefit nurseries in the region.

Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) settings are being urged to apply for Scottish Government grant funding which will help children take part in outdoor learning no matter the weather.

The government has said it will commit £1m to nurseries and other education providers to buy children warm winter clothes to allow them to play outside.

It follows as the outlets are encouraged to have children outside to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

Aberdeen Central MSP Kevin Stewart, Aberdeenshire East MSP Gillian Martin and Banffshire and Buchan Coast MSP Stewart Stevenson have welcomed the initiative.

Mr Stewart said: “This £1 million commitment from the Scottish Government will be absolutely vital to children and families across Aberdeen and the north-east  – outdoor play is an incredibly important aspect of any child’s learning and development, so it is extremely important that we can maintain that during the current pandemic.”

Ms Martin said: “No child should go without winter clothing when it gets colder and that is why the Scottish Government is plugging the gap for parents and ELC settings that are unable to provide clothing.”

Mr Stevenson added: “I urge all nurseries and ELC centres in Aberdeen to apply for their share of the £1m funding when it opens in January 2021 to ensure no child goes without an extremely important stage of their learning.”

Utter madness.  People have lost their minds.   Are you going to let your child sit outside "no matter the weather".  I would call you a child abuser.

See ‘Snow Days’ thread. Full of people who have fond memories and, more importantly,  survived the ‘abuse’ of being chucked outside in all sorts of weather. In significantly less weatherproof clothing than you can get these days I may add.

Sometimes you didnt notice the difference as it was almost as cold inside as it out, with everyone sharing one bar of an electric fire in the only room that had heating.
I am not suggesting we go back to that , and I dont know enough about this initiative to comment on it in detail, but anything that gets children outside more needs to be seen as a good thing.

A one bar electric fire? Luxury!!! There was 9 of us huddled round a candle and when it got really cold we'd light it 😁

😂

I am pretty sure I have said this before but we had a chapel at the top of our road and my friend and I ‘borrowed’ 2 candles from it to heat up a ‘ famous five club’ we had created in my grans coal bunker .
We had a bit of carpet in it and one of the candles fell over and set fire to the bunker which was built into the back of the house. We could have burnt the building down but at least we were warm 😁

Both could be pretty close to the truth.

"Pfizer saying it has now sent millions of doses to the UK,"

To me it seems strange that a Pfizer spokesperson (that article doesn't say who it is) doesn't know the exact amount that have been despatched. It just says "millions". That could mean two million, which sounds about right from what I have read.

"The source said that by next week, there would be 2 million jabs ready in total, and the manufacturer plans to “build it up fairly rapidly” to 2 million doses per week by the third week of January."

Even at 2 million doses per week it would take well over a year to vaccinate the entire population. Then they might need to start all over again depending on how long the effects of the vaccines last.

If Pfizer and AZ can provide 3 million doses per week between them from the middle of January, I would be very happy.

I understand how long it will take but that has always been the case so what has changed to make them claim there are now shortages which they are using to justify ignoring Pfizer.

It's bad news man, all this dithering and then on top of that not finishing the vaccination courses (1 jab over 2) apparently gives the virus a better chance to mutate , it's what they do when they deliberately want to incite mutant responses in virus under lab conditions.

I have no personal experience but it seems a real concern for folk who work specifically in this area. I've a lot of time for the CMO's but science is very specialised these days and none of them (as far as i'm aware) are actively working as researchers in these very specific areas.

I beleive they're speaking specifically of the pfiezer vaccine though Oxford has been tested for this time frame.

They are making assumptions that the Pfizer one will behave in the same way. I actually don't share your faith in the CMO's. Gregor Smith will always simply follow on. He is a GP so no he doesn't have that experience. He is an incredibly poor communicator and there seems no independent thought there. The CMOs are too close to the politicians and none will rock the boat substantially
