Mitrovic Is more than a championship striker, he's excellent and better than anything we have including a fit Griffith's.

If he was more than a championship striker he wouldn’t be there. He would be scoring at EPL level or the European equivalent.

We really have a habit of hyping up our opponents players when we have players at the same level

He does have 34 goals in 55 internationals though and he’s 25!

Imagine having players with 55 caps at 25 years old. Our players are happy to get to 50 before they retire.

I know. Even the ones good enough at an early age can’t be arsed at times.
Watched an interview with Gerrard, Lampard and Ferdinand a few years old talking about how their generation failed, he said something about all the foreign lads couldn’t wait for international games while the English guys at Liverpool were less than up for it. We’ve a similar problem and with less natural talent.

Well there's Dusan Tadic aswell who was in brilliant scoring form for team who should've reached CL final last year...

He did score at epl level and international level as well. He has probably stayed at Fulham because of wages and Fulhams unwillingness to sell him. Robertson, Fraser and mcginn have all played championship football and I would consider them above it. Anyways Regardless of that, he's easily a level above anything we have atm.

Robertson, Fraser and McGinn are all established EPL players - fair enough McGinn has only been in the division for half a season but hasn't looked at out of place.   They are also all players that are on the way up.

Mitrovic on the other hand is no better than a championship level player.  He played three seasons in the EPL - two with Newcastle and one with Fulham - he was relegated in two of these seasons - not that that was all down to him  - in the other he was loaned from Newcastle to Fulham who were in the Championship at that time.   That all points to his level being in the Championship and no higher.

A bit simpler than that, we have a habit of hyping up anyone who's on a live game on TV and looks like they're doing quite well.   That includes our own players.

Mitrovic didn't look out of place for Fulham in the epl. If mcginn gets relegated with Aston villa and stays at the club due to better wages and villa being unwilling to sell then does that make mcginn not good enough for the epl. There are plenty of players playing in the championship that are quite capable of playing epl but they have chosen to stay with their club due to wages and  the clubs unwillingness to sell on the cheap. Look at cairney for example, Fulham rejected huge bids for him which has meant he has stayed in the championship for most of his career. There are plenty of west brom and Stoke players who have stayed with their clubs due to them being high payers.

Scoring 11 goals in 37 games and being relegated would suggest otherwise. What are these bids for him that Fulham turned down in the summer?

That's not a terrible return for a striker playing for a relegated team. Fulham were struggling big time. The bids I was talking about are for cairney, pretty sure Fulham turned down some big bids for him in the region of 20m. There's been talk for years of big clubs wanting him but Fulham don't want to sell him. Doesn't mean he can't cut it in the epl.

Isn’t that a decent return for a relegated team?

His international record is bordering on exceptional, almost 40 goals and he’s still only 25.

It's not a good return either and his spell at Newcastle was equally uninspiring.  We're discussing Mitrovic, I'm not sure what relevance Cairney has.

He's relevant because you are claiming mitrovic is just a championship striker when he's clearly only there because of money and the fact that Fulham will most likely get promoted again. Just because a player plays in the championship doesn't mean they are not good enough for the epl. Cairney is a player who is good enough for the epl imo.

Mitrovic is playing in the championship because he got relegated and no-one wanted to buy him.
