Same old same old.

This is a dead rubber and Clarke STILL sticks to what'll probably be a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1.

Yep, no imagination

If we were away to a top nation, maybe. But it’ll basically be 4/5 up front in this game.

Yeah but what is the manager going to learn from playing this team in this formation?

It's Steve Clarke's favoured formation, uses it almost every game.

The Belgians have done ok playing 433 continually.

And how has that worked out for Clarke?

Well it was good for Killie, not so much for Scotland so far. But the SFA can't say they didn't know what they were getting.

It would seem they have hired a dimwit with the imagination of an amoeba.

Mate, we can say that about every single manager that were hired since Vogts.

It beggars belief that not one of those manager even thought about giving 3/5 a try, over a longish period of time. Strachan got the stage where he gave it a few games, same with McLeish, but neither had the fortitude to stick with it.

We’ll learn absolutely nothing. It’s a ‘cannae win’ game. If we win 4-0 folk will say it should’ve been 8-0. If we win 8-0 folk will say “It’s only San Marino” 🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s not just Clarke’s poor tactics, he is very unimaginative in his squad and team selections. He doesn’t seem to be able to picture and then build a functioning team in his mind, let alone on the pitch.

Right, it's been a hellish few games.

LET'S get the start of some momentum and build a team that can put up a wee run of form before the playoffs.

It won't undone the horror of the last four games, but a very convincing and good win can help mend some bridges and confidence.

San Marino are the lowest ranked team in UEFA. I wish them all the best, but I really hope we can put at least 6 past them today.

I'm all for giving him time but there has got to be signs than there's progress. We're kinda like the club version of Man United, if you watch either team you won't see a pattern and you'll see players on a different page.
