Callum Paterson is a better striker

Tbh I don't want to keep going on about Adams because I don't particularly want him to be picked or asked again but Paterson isn't exactly a striker and it's doubtful that he's better than Adams. He's been played there recently but he's only scored 7 in 40 this season and i doubt Cardiff will rely on him to be their main striker in the future. Guy had wee run of 4 games where he scored in the epl and everyone thought he might turn out to be a good striker. His goal record this season shows it was just a lucky run.

Shame he has ruled himself out as he is a decent winger by our standards. Maybe Clarke should ask him if he wants back in.

Matt Ritchie isn’t interested in Scotland. I haven’t listened to it but apparently he didn’t want to talk about Scotland at all when he was interviewed by Simon Ferry.

What an absolute cunt that Ritchie is.

Ritchie just never had the pace for international football, and it did upset the rhythm of the team when Strachan tried to shoehorn him in.

While he was arguably the best dead ball specialist we have had since Faddy, I just think we have better players than him to call upon.

Did McFadden ever score for Scotland from a dead ball situation?

Can not think of any, but on his day in a Scotland shirt, his ability to make something from nothing  was second to none.

Sort of. Depends how you see it.

His corner kick against Spain in 2004 (the game that was abandoned) got deflected into the net by a Spanish defender.

I just didn't have him down as a dead ball specialist. He took quite a few corners but I've no idea what the ratio of good, bad and indifferent was.

Aye, you've got to dig pretty deep to come up with anything really. He didn't even score from that penalty against Iceland. Great player running with the ball at his feet, but not really the dead ball specialist.

Just had a look around there.

He scored at least one penalty for us against Sweden in 2004. Unfortunately we were already 4-0 down when it happened. Bugger.

I mind he scored a free kick and a penalty for Birmingham against Arsenal back in 2008.
