Ideally Tierney or Robertson will play at right back but it’ll be interesting to see how clarke works it. It's not just O'Donnell. Pick any combination you like of our current crop of centre-halves then watch what Haland does regularly to defenders in the Bundesliga and you'll wince. The emergence of Billy Gilmour is something to be positive about though. He was getting rave reviews before everything was put on hold, and I'm really looking forward to seeing him play again. kumnio
Ryan Fraser refuses to sign a short term extension at Bournemouth to finish the season. Poor show, lacks loyalty, commitment and decency IMO.

If he takes a couple of month extension and gets injured, where does that leave his career? Who pays for his rehab? Who pays his mortgage or any other bills whilst he sits on the sidelines. How much of a reduced deal does he have to take when fit again? His stock is quite high atm. His contract has expired. He is 100% correct to put himself first imo. Too many Scottish players over the years have done the "right" thing to he detriment of their career. When our good players get relegated with a club they never push through a transfer to stay in the EPL. Im hoping McGinn doesnt fall into this trap. He has shown that he is an EPL player, even if some of his team mates havent. Another year in the Championship will do him no good at all and probably set him back. You can bet your house that Grealish wont be sticking around if Villa get relegated.
mrniaboc
I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! Can't believe the EPL is finally back. Really excited to see McGinn, McTominay, Gilmour (and hopefully Fraser and KT) continue going from strength to strength.

Hes entitled to hold out for a club that has higher ambitions than avoiding relegation, Bournemouth have had a good few years from him and should wish him well as he's a player who could play for a top six side and he clearly wants to improve. JECK
Good to see Tierney and others starting but if truth be told not getting too excited yet re the play offs yet. You just know it will be a totally different picture with regards injuries and fitness come October and then the following month to.

Anyone know anything about this lad. Played for Aberdeen, now with Rotherham, who have been promoted to the Championship... His track record doesn't leave me more than a wee bit happy for him that he has got a promotion. Few matches for the Dons and then in the lower regions of the EFL, and about 26/27 I would guess. Not exactly international standard. But on the same subject Coventry have Michael Rose and Dominic Hyam going into the championship, younger and both central defenders. Looking at coventrys league record this season, they have only conceded 30 goals and only scored 48 so that surely must mean their success is built on a good defence. Most of their victories are 1 nil wins. Maybe this could be good for Scotland if they can produce these performances at championship level as they are both relatively young for centrebacks and could improve as a partnership.
