Interesting article. Doesn`t seem to have played much in the first team  recently if at all. Maybe injured but has been unused sub in most recent matches. Not sure how much he played at Brighton but his experience in Spain is probably similar to Gauld`s in Portugal so unlikely to be starring at Hampden in near future.

Have gatafe not just signed him? So must be doing something right

It is an odd signing. A striker who has very little goals or assists to his name,  (he's actually got more yellow cards than goals this season) in the division below. His passion for Scotland is very evident, so hopefully makes it

He's done much much better than Gauld. 24 games and 4 goals for Malaga this season. Injury later in the season has limited his playing time. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on at Getafe next season.

He’s played behind the striker or out wide for Malaga this season though he’s said in the future he’d like to play more as a no 9 and add more goals to his game

Sure I read Malaga did not take to kindly to him signing a pre-contract with Gatafe.

Brighton he was signed with a view to play in the U23 team, but he had a back injury when he signed and it effectively dogged him for his whole spell at the club.

Had forgotten about the Getafe thing. I`ve seen him on telly in some games this season when Malaga were going well and he didn`t stick out at all.  Getafe are going to be in Europa League while Malaga will be in playoffs in June but will only have 25% chance  of promotion so he may have made a good decision though he`ll be playing in front of smaller crowds and not with his local club.

Getafe has an ageing forward line as well, I think the youngest is 31, so hopefully that means he should get a decent amount of games

Seems to be murmurs in the press that he could be in the squad today (granted, source seems to be Michael Stewart)

He was touting Brophy as well. Will be interesting if both are picked.
