Apologies if I am missing this but I haven't seen anyone stating the manager must be scottish lately.

A quick look back of the last 2-3 pages shows Stevie Clarke, Bobby Williamson and Craig Brown all mentioned.

Pretty sure the mention of Williamson was a joke and Brown was an ironic mention to our last trip to a finals.

There are loads of managers who would want the job but how many are even competent enough to be considered?

Clarke is an excellent coach and definitely could do the job but why would he want to?

I’m not sure why Scotland fans ask these questions. He’d take it for the same reason as any of us would go to a game.

Nonsense. Would you give up a job you were happy in, successful at and idolised for, for a job that you have little influence over and no chance of being successful in?

Listening to Off The Ball podcast and as nice a guy as Craig Brown is, he doesn't talk a half amount of shite when it comes to this game :

Travel fatigue ; players went too late to Israel and maybe went too early to Kazakhstan ; backs big Eck ; Celtic/Aberdeen lost there, but Celtic hammered them 5-0 at home.

Then goes on to mention funding for pitches, development in places like Kazakhstan and Norway. Cosgrove says "Aye, but are oil-rich nations," silence, then Cosgrove again "Independent countries with hands to the oil revenue," then silence again from Broon.

Kilmarnock over Scotland, are you mad? How would he have little influence? He’d be the manager.

International managers have little influence, especially the Scotland one. How many days training does he have a year with the players?

How many players put club first?

Why is Scotland with a part time role, effectively, more attractive than the upwardly mobile Killie job?

Think of it as a job, not as a passion. Its what the manager has to do.

Brendan Rogers did.

Brendan Rogers more than tripled his salary, has a supposed £200m transfer fund and is back in the league he wants to be in.

All the pish about being a Celtic fan was just that, pish.

It's a steeping stone, though.

No, I believe that he's a Celtic fan. He wants to improve his career, doesn't mean that he isn't a Celtic fan.

What if Tierney leaves Celtic to better his career, does that he mean he was never a Celtic fan?
