McGregor goes in studs up with the ball in his hands??

Fuck me - how is that not a penalty?

Not to worry, young Ferguson had the cheek to have a dig at McGregor and got a booking for it.

Situation's like that, the keeper is rarely penalised.  It's similar to a keeper coming out for a cross with his knee up for "protection" and catching a forward, or coming to punch the ball and clearing out an opponent.

Nothing in the laws of the game about it but keepers are always treated differently

Cracking old school blood and thunder game. Reckon the ref got just about everything right with the exception of the McGregor incident.

Shinnie MOTM, GMS Stewart and Ferguson all excellent for Aberdeen. Draw would have been a fair result but will take the win gladly.

Hope he never tries that while on Scotland duty.

I only saw 1st half highlights and second half. Aberdeen looked unlucky not to get a draw based on that. Thought they edged 2nd half.

Based on Morelos overturned red card at pittodrie, should McKenna be a yellow?

Morelos is an embarrassment, been rightly sent off 3 times v Aberdeen, let his team mates down on several occasions this season. Mcgregor not much better, he’s been quiet for a few months to be fair.

Enjoyed that, fair play to both teams. Both red cards correct but that cock McGregor should also have walked. . Bad day for Aberdeen, pumped by Rangers and their local Tory MP busted for sexual deviance 👍

An MP is a reflection on the whole community

Goalies are entitled to protect themselves. As Willie Miller said the ball had gone and Ferguson didn't need to go through with the challenge.

He didn’t, I’m fairly sure he’d have jumped over him, but Mcgregor studded him halfway up his shin before he had chance.

I think your general point is true, but curling into a ball would’ve protected him, lifting your studs to catch a guy on the leg is a bit different. Mcgregor has a or of previous for this kind of thing.

can understand red missing it though. He’s pretty sly.
