Will be there too.

Although I've seen some disagreement over the actual foundation date of the club, it may have been in 1868.

Anyway 5th January 1869 has gone down in the history books, so...

:sing: "Happy birthday to you,  happy birthday to you,  happy birthday dear Killie,  happy birthday to you"

Big night at RP tonight, really looking forwardt to it.

Could be a big year in more ways than one.....

Enjoy boys.  Great team.  If Jim Todd is there with his wee teddy bear give him a shout.  He was on that bbc documentary about Argentina recently.  Enjoy.

Such a shame that this truly wonderful man isn't here to join in the celebrations with you.

Image result for tommy burns kilmarnock

Always spoke well of his time as manager at Rugby Park, would never say a bad word about the club or it's fans.

Aye, he was up on the big screen though, so he was there in spirit.

Was a great night, sadly the English Nacho Novo tried his best to ruin it. But as you can see he was given a warm reception.

The state of the pathetic huns commenting on that

Btw as there any sign of big Boaby Williamson or Sir James Calderwood ?

Did any players still alive from the 1959-1965 era, when Kilmarnock were one of the best teams in the country, make an appearance ?

The wee guy second from left holding trophy is Davie Sneddon, scored the winning goal at Tynecastle in 1965, he is also former manager

Davie Sneddon (Scored in at Tynecastle) and Ronnie Hamilton were there from the 65 team.

The wives (and families) of Frank Beattie (Captain) and Brien McIlroy (the other goalscorer in 65) where there too.

Bobby Williamson wasn't there, he has been at RP regularly recently but I think he was unable to attend. Alex Totten was there, as were Gary Holt, Paul Clarke, Jim Clark, Alan Robertson, Paul Wright, Kenny Shiels, Ray Mongomerie amongst other ex players/staff.

Thankfully there was no sign of Michael Johnston!

John Barnes from the BBC was the compere for the night.

He's a massive Killie fan, shareholder etc and was really good to have somebody with a genuine affection for the club do that on the night.

Same with the speakers, Gordon Sherry the ex golfer spoke and he's a dyed in the wool Killie fan.

Same with Ben from Biffy Clyro who follows us home and away, midweek trips to Pittodrie the lot.

There were local MP's, MSP's, Provosts and council leaders there.  All of them to a man (and woman in Cathy Jamieson's case) have been long term season ticket holders at the club and I'm not sure how common that is in Scotland.

Was a really special night

Every thread it seems is all about the Rangers, can you not take the thread for what its intentions were for and congratulate Kilmarnock for reaching the milestone. Well done all involved and looked like a cracking do.
