Not entirely due to Brexit but I suspect that it is a significant factor.  A lot more similar de-industrialisation still to come as the UK collapses. Time to bail out.

It's more to do with changes in the tyre market. Apparently the Dunde factory was set up to produce what were then the main sizes of tyres. Recently the market has changed hugely, and the factory isn't really suited to the new demands. A good artilce on the BBC website yesterday about it.

Sounds like a failure to keep up / modernise is the main issue here. Obviously bad for people to lose their jobs but unless they fully redo the plant to bring it up to code, what other options are there?

I was told that the bloke who walks about with a broom in his paws cleaning up is on £28k per annum. Fuck me no bad work if you can get it.
