Burj_Alba
Charlie, no longer close the team but I salute you for this. Cannot be easy for anyone, particularly in the public. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45801040 FWIW always remember his dad turning out for the Jags, probably past his best by that time but decent player anyway. scotlad
I hadn't realised that's how Charlie Adam's father died. Fair play to him for coming out and talking about it; it must still hurt a lot.
mrniaboc
Remember it at the time, but it fascinating to hear him describe it in more detail now. It must still be extremely hard for him to talk about. Can't imagine what that would be like to go through, and what it would take to keep on going at the level he did afterwards. I've always thought he comes across very well as a person, and that some of the shit he got from fans throughout his career was harsh and unwarranted. Ormond
Guy I worked with at the time was one of Charlie senior’s best drinking pals. Sad end for an ex Saintee. 😞
