slasher
At the last two home games I've been asked by a steward to see inside my sporran. Not an issue as I wasn't carrying anything I shouldn't have been. I'm just wondering if they have the right to do this and whether they can deny me entry should I refuse. Anyone up on the terms and conditions or legal aspect of this? I'm just wondering as I can't recall this happening before but it seems to be standard practice at the turnstiles now? kwhitelaw
It's not really any different to asking to see inside a woman's hand bag or requesting a pat down to check you've nothing dodgy in your pockets.

Aye, I get that but I wouldn't have thought stewards have that power?

GordonC
I suspect you could say no to a steward but all they would likely do is stop you getting in right away and getting a police officer over to search you.
McDange
I'm sure it's captured in the T&Cs somewhere. I think the main rule is that a male steward cannot search a female and vice versa without express permission.
mrniaboc
I wear a decoy sporran at the front, while round the back I've got another chalk full of buckie. You're welcome.

Of course they have the right to ask you to show them what’s in your sporran. You also have the right to say no. The stewards also have the right to refuse you entry if you say no.
