Levein tried it to an extent at United when as usual the Huns got away with murder at the Hunnery. The thing that impressed me most with the Clarke statement was that the club authorised it and are showing baws. min
At long last AFC have grown a pair...  Aberdeen FC finds the explanation provided by the SFA in relation to the Michael Devlin red card appeal unacceptable. The club maintains its view that the player was wrongfully dismissed, that the evidence presented was a robust defence and was overwhelmingly compelling in the player’s favour. In light of recent decisions taken by the SFA, the club believes it is imperative for the country’s football authorities to establish consistency and transparency in the appeal and referral process and will engage in dialogue with the SPFL in this regard to seek their assistance. Furthermore, at a time when technology is making a significant and positive impact across sport, the club believes that the impact of the VAR system trials in the English Premier League need to be considered if stakeholders in the game are going to regain trust in the process. AFC is aware that the views we have expressed are held by many who have found key appeal and referral decisions this year perplexing and want to see the governing body dealing with this proactively, with a consistent and transparent appeals process high up on the agenda. Doing so would enhance the game’s integrity, greatly assist referees, improve the game for fans and, ultimately, the perception of Scottish football. Appeals don't so why would VAR? Same idiots making decisions.

Guest faircity
If Clarke gets fined for this and the Hun mouthpieces get off with it then the other clubs should refuse to fulfil their fixtures against the Huns. It might sound drastic but it is no more ridiculous than the shite that is going on right now.

Surely this renders the cjarge sheet and therefore the charge itself completely null and void? Obviously it’s a technicality, but still... Squirrelhumper
Ian Maxwell seems like an absolute patsy. His interviews regarding the child abuse and SFA protocols and his reluctance to admit there were issues the other month should have set alarm bells ringing. Way, way out his depth.

macy37
Re Aberdeen’s statement I seem to be the only one who thinks it isn’t all that fantastic. All they have done is reiterate the fact they find the decision puzzling. Now.....if they actually played the player that would be a statement to get behind. Scotty CTA
The 10 'normal' teams in the Scottish Premiership should break away and add the next best 8 teams from the Championship. Celtic and Sevco can then (in a sponsor's dream) form their own 2 team league and play each other every week on the moon. (And take the 'baggage' with you!!! )
theweestevie
I'm just waiting for the compliance officer issuing a note of complaint against the SFA for bringing the game into disrepute. That would probably be the least pharsical thing to happen in this whole saga.
