The result against Poland where we scored 3 late goals to win 3-2 was brilliant and I'm so pleased it ended like this.

Switzerland looked very capable, but seemed content to loose 2-1 in Paisley and have been punished.   Great effort from our lassies.   They must have been tense, but didn't show it.   Not 'til the final whistle anyway 😂

They qualified on Friday, it was tight between them and Wales but they won through in the end.

Wonderful stuff! 

I seen about 5 of the games (both Poland ones) so always fancied them to do well against the Swiss. 

Absolutely brilliant! Its incredibly difficult to qualify for the World Cup - the playoffs between the four best runners up play two semis and then a two-legged final for one team seems pretty, pretty harsh. 

WELL DONE though!

Indeed. Only 8 qualifiers from UEFA. It's one of the most impressive qualification campaigns ever, male or female.

Fantastic stuff, credit to all involved who have worked so hard.  I've seen the women's team a few times over the years, even once staying in the same hotel (unknowingly when I booked). My daughter was really chuffed to see players at breakfast.  They don't get all the perks I think Julie Fleeting once played for Scotland one day and in an FA Cup Final the next but really well done.  Hope they make us proud when the finals themselves come round but they've done us proud already in getting there.

I wished the men's team showed 10% of the passion the lassies do/did yesterday.

Sadly these girls make huge sacrifices to play for their country yet we've got guys who can't be arsed playing for us, let alone make a sacrifice.

Current UEFA qualified teams: France (hosts), Spain, Italy, Germany, England, Norway, Sweden and Scotland.  Fantastic to be up amongst teams of that calibre

Fabtastic stuff. The women seemed to be setting up the hard-luck script we all know so well - a late Swiss winner or an Albanian equaliser - but actually triumphed over it.

 

They should invite as many as can be there to take a bow on Friday Night.
