Goal for Jack Harper and Oliver McBurnie.

Flash scores has Mcburnie's goal down as an og.  Haven't seen any footage so don't know how it panned out.  Obviously a deflection of sorts.  You can't get credited with a deflected goal unless you're Frank Lampard! 😁

It's a weird one. On Final Score the summarizer said that McBurnie scored it, but it came up as an OG. On SofaScore it has McBurnie as the goal scorer... so your guess is as good as mine. :P

The Saltire next to his name will swing it in favour of og no doubt 😆

Was a definite og. McBurnie was a few metres away. Whoever was keeping track of goalscorers must have been munching on a pie when the cross came in and just saw he was the closest.

He did get an interesting assist. Someone did a rabona cross to the backpost, McBurnie overhead kicked it back across goal, and it was tapped in at the backpost.

Paterson caused Southampton all kinds of problems.

He was excellent today, didn’t stop for 90 minutes in horrendous conditions. Wasn’t a pretty goal but to have the determination to chase that down, win it and slot it home (especially when there would’ve been a free kick awarded had he not) is exactly the kind of energy, work rate and attitude we need on the field.

Armstrong played okay too, although he can’t be expected to have a massive amount of influence in such a poor team. Could’ve earned his side a spot kick but I think the ref probably got it right.

Some finish from Snoddy yesterday. When he's fit he's a top player. I'd have him in all the time for Scotland but not if he's not had a run of games at club level. The case of Patterson gets curiouser by the week. Is a clear weakness at right back, his manager pretty forthright about that and was proved in the Israel game yet is getting goals for Cardiff in a big league as lone striker. An athlete, tremendous in the air yet none of his goals are from headers. If he continues this form till March and scores more goals can we ignore him as a striker, especially away from home?

Yeh Snodgrass is easily worth his place in the squad. If Paterson keeps up this form then he will definitely be an option up front for us. Probably a better option than putting him at RB.
