Scottish Players in Action 18/19

Shinnie has been performing like that in midfield for the past couple of years. Was probably our best player last night. McKenna did his national prospects no harm, Devlin has started alright so far. Lewis Ferguson will be the one to watch. His talent at Accies was superb, continued these first two games. If he continues to improve and work hard, he'll be knocking on the door. Presently he should be knocking on the door for a 21s call up.

McBurnie scores!

Guy is certainly a penalty box poacher.

Looking at that goal, it was great position play for him to make space in the box and a fantastic pass to this teammate(?) who should have scored and Oli was still alert to the whereabouts of the ball to slot it in. Great build up and eventual goal fae the lad.

Didn't realise Barrie McKay had moved to Swansea. Started off well for Forest but obviously karanka didn't rate him. Him, McBurnie and Jay Fulton all starting for Swansea, Fleck for Sheffield.

McKay given MOM from Sky

Lewis McLeod (remember him) scores for Brentford and manages the whole 90 minutes without getting injured.  Hopefully, turned the corner now and can push on and fulfill some of that youthful promise.

Massive 9.2 rating on who scored .com for MoM too. Not many players get over 9 on there so will be interesting to see how he does.

7.5 and MoM for Mckay on who scored and 7.4 for McBurnie

Other 7 or betters today Hanley  7.0 and 7.6 for Mulgrew  although the ratings for the Blackburn game seem to be a bit high, maybe opta was broken there.

Apologies for my liking of a stats based objective unbiased site but there you go. Better than seeing what you want to see.

Brentford going to have a good season, very exciting team to watch at this level.

Guys defo second to Griffith's as our striker unless Fletcher and Rhodes start hitting form. His record at championship level is pretty good.

If mcburnie stays on form and Griffiths stays third choice at Celtic, mcburnie will be our number one choice which isn’t ideal

For me, their is not one that has nailed down the spot up front. Griffith's hasn't shown enough, for me, that's he's nailed down the spot, especially when lads like McBurnie are emerging

Griffith's has easily nailed down the spot, the guy carried Scotland in the second half of the qualifying campaign, even if he isn't starting for Celtic he is easily our best striker and should always be starting barring injury. Mcburnie is looking like he is defo second choice atm.
