Whys that a bad thing. That would probably be his level no?

He’s had some performances that are way above that. Not sure he has been as good this season apart from his MOM against Denmark

"Some" being the important word. Hes a good player but I am not sure he belongs at an elite club. Serie A isn't as strong as it used to be either.

Hope he isn't going to leave for some boring lower end EPL team.

He's unlikely to be moving to a high end EPL team though.

That said, I think I'd prefer to live somewhere like Bologna than move to Coventry or Leeds.

Lots of money in the lower epl though.

I wasn't being serious. I'd rather he doesn't go to a lower end EPL team because he will end up playing attritional, low risk football, lose a lot, and has a high chance of ending up as a championship player. I would prefer him to play elsewhere (either staying in Italy or some other good league) because although the standard will be somewhat lower overall, playing mid to upper table in a tactically and technically high quality league gives him more chance to play better football and win games. There's a lot to be said for the mindset that brings compared to slogging it out all season in a losing environment.

Granted if it were me and someone offered me an extra couple of million quid a year I'd struggle to say no, so I won't blame him if that's his choice.

I agree with this. The main problem with the EPL is that the players are done come the summer. I don't remember an EPL player from any nation lighting up a tournament.

Souttar?

And to a lesser extent Kelly and Curtis.

Your point remains true though. Rangers record of bringing througg Scottish talent over past 20 years has been disgraceful.

I don't think they've brought through a regular from the youth teams since Alan Hutton

The last sentence is interesting to say the least

Perhaps the lack of game time our EPL players have been getting isn’t such a bad thing.

Yeah, that”s why McGinn’s injury gap was quite welcome and Roberston’s game every 7-10 days or so.

Aberdeen linked with Jeremiah Mullen would be good to see him and a few others from the champ.

Time for this player to step up. He seems to have been around for ages, and still playing under 21s for us.

Aberdeen have loads of Scottish defenders ( Lobban, Frame, McIntyre, Milne and Morrison) Problem is their goals against total suggests they are not very good.

He’s doing exactly the right thing thing by getting first team experience which is hard to come by for young centre halves. I think he could end up a really good player. Aberdeen could be a good step.

A few reports linking Christie with Villa which is surprising given he's 31, but only has a year left on his deal so they might be hoping to get him cheap.

I'd say he's doing a good job for Bournemouth, although they might reluctant to renew his deal so soon. Selling him or letting him run down his contract will be their preference, he'll want a new deal or a longer deal elsewhere.

Sunderland and Ipswich are being linked with a move for Joel Bagan LB 24 Cardiff City, was in the EFL league 1 team of the year, represented Scotland at U16 level but then represented Ireland u21s not had a full cap for anyone.

Leon King is attracting interest from a number of sides after a succesful loan at Ayr including Wolves  Coventry and Burnley good to see if he gets his career going.

Interesting year in the Scots Championship as i have heard of a number of lads being talked about cannot say i have watched any games but it sounds promising hopefully a few stepping up

McPake joining Hearts, Tod,Mullen and Fraser Dunfermline, Stanways and McPherson Partick, Sounds like Mcarthur has done well at Airdrie from his loan from Newcastle. Maybe a few more.

I thought Ferguson may end up at Villa if he leave Bologna.  Upper EPL, not championship contender, is his level

James Wilson is going to return to Hearts, Spurs haven't exercised their right to buy. Given the fee was £2.5m, a paltry amount for an English club, that's a bit worrying.

Aye did wonder when I saw him in the background on the tv on Monday night  heading down the tunnel in a hearts trackie

Charlton talking about the future of Dykes could be freed, fans saying he should just be freed as not good enough they say that Leaburn wins 10x the ball in the air.......a bit worrying.

Nah, not David's son!

Good memory though, won the Scottish Cup with Killie. A local lad. Lives in America now where he coaches.

Got his own youth training franchise in Kansas area.
