fringo Posted April 9 Posted April 9 It makes me wonder why a currently average Liverpool team with an average replacement left back would want to let a guy like him go that other top European sides are interested in. If the other big teams are interested to sign him he's clearly still pretty good and IMO better than Kerkez as well. Quote

Robertson has a high intensity game and these players, not just football but also rugby, peak sooner unless they modify their style of play. Quote

Andy Robertson transfer news: Tottenham in advanced talks to sign Liverpool defender this summer - BBC Sport It's the obvious move. He's too good for SPL until his swansong year. Reading the excellent thread on Lewis Ferguson, Andy may however be getting too old to immerse himself in the new language and culture of another European league, and quickly master it. Spurs currently non-threatening to Liverpool and can finance terms well. This deal is all green lights. We get to ensure our national captain up to Euro 2028 is playing regularly at the highest level to stay fit/sharp. Quote

That's putting it mildly; they way things are going Spurs will be doing well to be playing in the same division as Liverpool next season! Quote

Yes but I believe there is a condition to the transfer. If Tottenham are relegated the deal is off. Quote
syecosse Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Brighton have taken Ross County youngster Joe Coyle on trial. Quote
BoundaryFault Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Not actually "Scottish player transfers" -- but it may be worth considering that Iraola will cease managing Bournemouth at the end of the season. Not sure that BGD was an absolutely massive favourite with him, so perhaps he won't follow him to Bilbao or wherever. Seems that the leading candidates to take over are Frank Lampard, Kieran McKenna of Ipswich and Marco Rose of RB Salzburg. Quote
syecosse Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Queens Park have confirmed that Harris Afzal 16 LB will join Southampton at the end of the season, Palace, Rangers and Celtic tried to also get him. Quote
syecosse Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Alfie Osbourne seems to have his pick of sides,it would be interesting to see what he is being offered not that we would, as it goes from clubs such as Arsenal, Man City, Marsielle and Roma amongst others to a club like Lecce(no disrespect to them) but wonder if they would be offering him more if a first team pathway than say the others. Decent enough player for someone to snap up on a free transfer. He's had an interesting career and probably played more games for his Saudi club than any other. Quote
