Genoa after Nathan Patterson.

Bolton have had a £500k bid for Davud Watson rejected.

Outside of transfers Veronas coach has been sacked before Bowie can make his debut.

Watson is better than league 1 level, hope that doesn’t happen

Even stranger, BBC English transfer day pages saying it is a loan move.

Most likely for accounting reasons. They'll agree a few but it'll come out of next season's budget rather than this season's.

Loan with a view to buying in the summer. Possibly to get a better look at him or maybe it's some financial fair play faff.

Apparently the Patterson deal is dependent on Brooke Norton-Cuffy leaving and he's said he doesn't want to move this month

I would say not by much. He’s a really hard working player with a strong will to win. I don’t think he has technical ability that sets him apart from league 1 level which is much the same as the SPFL.

Arsenals Scottish scout has been busy Dundee keeper 16 Warren Lyall going on trial. 3 so far.

I wonder if some of this relates to the homegrown talent pool. As long as they all go down there before they turn 18, they can count as homegrown.

Which makes the Wilson transfer so bewildering. Unless there is a loophole I don't know about that would make him eligible for being homegrown.

I wonder if the fact Bowie is classed as EPL homegrown boosted his value. As he'll be far more valuable down the line if EPL teams start sniffing about.

James Wilson now looking off to Spurs.

Sounds like a really bad deal from his agent. Spurs pay a significant fee to Hearts to have a look at him in the reserves for 6 months and then have an option to buy him for a set fee, renegotiate or decline to sign him which will no doubt hamper his prospects of deals elsewhere. He's done enough to warrant more commitment than that.

If he does go to London, I think Arsenal would be better for his development. They seem to be better at developing youngsters

Spurs don’t have any reason to be pushing minor fees to next season so I doubt there’s any truth in that. Fully expect him to be back at Hearts in the summer.

He should be going out on loan to get first-team football. From a football point of view, it's a stupid decision. From a financial point of view, it makes sense.

I'm going to be disappointed if Gunn and Patterson don't get loans.

Patterson probably doesn’t need a loan if he plays senior regularly like he has been of late

O'Brien was back at the weekend so I think it's much more likely he'll be bench warming again.

You’d hope he’s had some sort of assurances he’ll be given a decent chance of minutes ahead of a World Cup but Moyes does seem to prefer O’Brien there.

A lot of Everton fans online have been saying Patterson should start as he adds more balance to their backline

I'd tend to agree. He's not technically great, full of energy and gets the odd goal though.

He's not kicked on, for a variety of reasons.
