Just a thought, will be hated by a few but Angus Gunn has just joined Norwich seems to have re discovered his form, may be worth approaching and we need a keeper long term or in-between some one coming through.

Noticed a couple of youngsters rejecting SPL to go elsewhere ,Irving to join a German side? Any good?Hearts tried to keep him, Ross at Aberdeen possibly joining Blackburn.

He has already declared that he wants to play for England, so forget him.

Rumours on twitter (🙄) and elsewhere that Christie is going to Monaco. That would certainly be an interesting move.

There's also an odd rumour going about that Gauld might move to Vancouver Whitecaps. That would not seem a progressive choice.

Re Gauld I agree not a good move career wise but apparently £43k per week. Maybe he thinks he is nowhere near Scotland team after being overlooked and might take the big money offer. Unlikely to get another offer like that?

I’d be very very surprised if he doesn’t have multiple offers of that magnitude. £40k a week is bread and butter money in the big leagues these days and I’m sure one would take a punt at that level, particularly as he is on a free.

Even if he goes 25% less than that, is it really that big a difference to be paid £1.5m a year over £2.0m? Clearly half a million is a lot of cash, but either way he’ll be very wealthy. Moving to Canada would cut him off from the national team for good you would think, as well as seriously reducing his chances of an even bigger move.

That could potentially be a great move for Ryan Christie. He needs to get his mojo back, maybe a new challenge in a better league will help him.

Moving to Vancouver Whitecaps would certainly help Ryan Gauld's bank balance (41k a week for three years is apparently what's on offer) but if he has serious ambitious of making the Scotland squad he'd be better staying in Europe.

Didn't Johnny Russell get a few call ups after moving to the MLS? So might not be totally off the radar.

That said, given his stats in Portugal leagues you'd think a few mid table Spanish clubs would be looking at him? If Burke can get a move to La Liga you'd think Gauld would be a target.

Johnny Russell already had a few caps to his name before he moved to the MLS.

Fair point about Spanish clubs though, you'd think Gauld would be ideally suited to playing in La Liga. Maybe the Spanish have a similar attitude to the Portuguese league as the English have to the SPFL.  😄

Jack Hendry now officially left Celtic and loan has been made permanent.

With hindsight this seems to be a poor deal for Celtic. They make 1.5m whilst the Belgians could sell him on straight away for a big profit.

West Brom supposedly interested at this point.

Celtic fucked it by presuming they had better players, then having an embarrassment of a season where Hendry would have been essential. He’s now too good to play for them and they have to sell him for a few million below his value.

If Hendry moves up a level, I reckon he will be found out as little more than someone who can play in the center of a back three which I keep saying any decent center half can do.

Not seen anything in a Scotland shirt to suggest he is up to much and I don't think many on here have him in their starting 11 for the Denmark game.

£3 million at the very most

Leeds and Villa linked with him for more than £10 million.

He got a hard deal at Celtic, and is miles better than some of the shit that they have used. There’s some amount of donkeys that play in the Sky Sports propaganda league, he can do the same.

I read yesterday that based on a certain rule he cannot be sold again during this transfer window and so he will have to wait until January for any big move

Fair play to both of they do go. I really can't fault Guald for going to the mls if he does go. Summer football, wages, lifestyle and training facilities are top notch too.
