A pre-season Is vital for building up fitness and match fitness and even bonding with team-mates. He might not actually be truly up to speed till next year, especially when you factor in the operation that he went through. Agreed. I had this feeling that he would spend his whole career at Celtic, I'm so glad that I'm wrong... but saying that, nothing's been signed yet. So fingers crossed it gets over the line. Nobody said it was, commenting on the reason why there is no interest in these players. We should know by now we are a pretty shite, and have pretty poor to average players as a whole. Yes we have a few who are above the mark, but they are few and far between.
