I dont watch friendlies

Yes , a wee bit worse than the usual Scotland home friendly. Cannot remember us performing well in a friendly at home for a long time. As has become the norm for this type of game, poor atmosphere too.

All the usual criticism applies. Should have been Easter Road, Rugby Park, Pittodrie, etc,. Then the double edged sword comments would have been trotted out; it should have been Hampden .

Andy Robertson was good, McBurnie decent but no threat to a fit Griffiths. Do not want to judge any of them on this but Tom  Cairney really disappointed me. Probably out of position. McTominay made at least 3 errors when losing ball or man. This was not our A team rather an opportunity to give some new faces a chance. Personally, would liked McGinn to have had much, much more game time.

Friendly- wise, I think Nigeria at Craven Cottage was the last one I genuinely enjoyed and in today's world that may well have been regarded as our home tie. Cannot remember who was at home but remember great support, Ground was jumping and leaving in very positive mood.

To qualify my earlier post above, I do not regard any game vs England as a friendly.

An empty hampden does not help. Should have been in Edinburgh or Aberdeen

They just said on Clyde 1 that the crowd wouldn't have fitted in a stadium outside of Glasgow (I am assuming excluding murrayfield)

Clyde 1 talking shite as usual. Official attendance was 20,488 which is less than what Pittodrie holds. You’d probably get less than that at a full house at Pittodrie to be fair due to segregation but there were no away fans last night as far as I could see so that wouldn’t have been a problem.

Easter Road holds a baw hair less than the official attendance last night. I would be surprised if there were actually any more than about 18,000 in the ground last night. Has home harvesting officially started?

The game should have been in Edinburgh (even Tynecastle would have done if it meets the criteria for internationals) as Aberdeen held the last one and Hampden will get all the qualifiers.

Was the SFA deluded enough to think there was going to be a huge crowd last night? Shower of idiots.

Rugby Park has no chance of hosting a Scotland game unless they get rid of their artificial pitch.

There were a few (highly visible) Costa Rica fans in the South Stand last night Pete.   No segregation, no issues; they seemed to have a great time.

Yeah I did see a couple wandering around outside of the ground to be fair. I meant I didn’t think there was an away section but didn’t word it very well.

There was a lot of Irish guys in with us at Celtic Park as well with no issues (that I saw anyway). The way it should be I suppose if there are plenty of tickets going spare.

Not my recollection of that game. I remember thinking this game is an Ireland goal away from quite a lot of trouble potentially. Was very tense I felt.

I suppose it depends where you were sitting.

I did actually see a fight breaking out in the top tier in the corner between a good sized group of people but I was too far away to see what it was about.

It didn’t make the news and the talk was it was between Scotland fans only.

Where I was sitting (small stand behind the goals - Jock Stein maybe? Can’t remember) there were a few Irish boys sitting near us and we were having a laugh with them. That wouldn’t have changed if Ireland had scored but I can’t speak for everyone. You do get some roasters at our games the same as any football match.

Probably don't need to go to that much bother, think the link to view it is usually available on the BBC Sport page on their website whenever there's a BBC Scotland, BBC Wales, BBC Alba or other region specific broadcast no matter where you access it from.

Don't think so insomniac... pretty sure you generally can only watch BBC scotland from Scotland... hence trying to find a way.

Possibly available on red button? I know I’ve watched S4C via red button.

Are you in Yorkshire.... and been able to do it in the past?

Can you watch this without changing anything?  You need to sign in now, don't think you previously had to: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcone?area=scotland

I usually watch it on the regional channels on Sky or Freeview (at the far end of the channel listings, near the naughty ones!)

I’d be surprised if you can’t watch it through the BBC sport website. They wouldn’t be able to put it online if Sky was also showing it but I assume the BBC have exclusive rights?

If you have Sky then you’ll be able to access BBC Scotland somewhere around channel 980. It’s just after the porn channels allegedly. I wouldn’t know.........
