macy37
Tallinn in February a few year ago. It was incredibly cold. When we landed it was snowing and it snowed for 48 hours solid after that. On the 2nd day we took a city tour that ended with a walk around the old town. It was showing minus 16 at around 3pm and it was really windy too so windchill was phenomenal. I looked at my sister who was stood shivering next to her hubby and asked if she was ok as she literally looked like she was going to pass out and she replied “I cannot feel my tits I think they’ve fallen off” 😂 We retired to a pub and each had two bowls of soup!! Baltic indeed!!
bonzo
Had something similar in hamburg in January a few years back minus 15 but the wind would hawf you in two.
EddardStark
A few years back we went to Krakow in mid December. I can honestly say the cold went right to my bones. We kept on having to have hot baths. Great place though.
Armchair Bob
Been colder, but got back to the road at Drumochter after a walk one blizzardy day (around -10) and the car's lock had frozen, couldn't get the key in to open the door... the only answer was to pish on the lock to unfreeze it. Think I've said this before but I was in Chicago a couple of years ago in March. It was bloody freezing which was fair enough but it was the chunks of ice falling from the top of the skyscrapers that you had to look out for!! How noone gets seriously injured it a miracle! They take great dilligence with that. They have to. They close off streets and have guys abseiling down to take off the ice.
