Toepoke
No representative of IndyScot - just as well as there was neither question nor comment on the Smith Commission, nor was there any discussion on Mitchell and Plebgate Strange programme Question Time seems to focus more on local issues more these days, depending where it's being hosted... Tartan Eagle
Question Time seems to focus more on local issues more these days, depending where it's being hosted... If that's the case, and I agree it sometimes is, it would be entirely appropriate. If I attended a local QT I'd want to lace a national question with a local flavour. However tonight we had national questions on immigration, education, and a brief one on white van man/Thornberry but very little of local interest
exile
Eck's on This Week though. I'm sure he'll be dissecting the Smith Commission output... And Michael Portillo insisting several times that the vow had been delivered. Meanwhile simultaneously, Andrew Neill insisting that Home rule and devo Max were not in the vow. Which may be true in the sense of not featuring in the Record front page, but... It seems there is a double standard going on. It seems the Vow is not specific enough to include all the things Gordon Brown promised; but somehow specific enough to allow people to say that whatever Smith recommends, was what the vow did mean, even though that wasn't on the Record front cover either. Salmond did agree that the terms of THE VOW were ambiguous. He did emphasise though that the final judgement on it will come from the Scottish electorate... exile
Salmond did agree that the terms of THE VOW were ambiguous. He did emphasise though that the final judgement on it will come from the Scottish electorate... Yes - we can agree THE VOW was ambiguous. But then, if we all accept that, then Portillo cannot claim categorically that THE VOW has been delivered, nor can the Labour MPS nor The Record. But they all claim it has been delivered. Tartan Eagle
Yes they can all claim: - that the VOW has been delivered - that indyref vote was decisive - that the matter is closed for a generation BUT as Eck, Nicola and Toepoke have said, it's not up to politicians and pundits: it's up to the electorate If they feel the VOW has been delivered in full, then the polls will reflect this. There will be a dramatic fall in the level of popular support for the SNP, the ALLIANCE parties, and for Independence itself. I wonder.....when are the next polls published? Bino's
The vow was always going to be delivered as they had not specified what it even was so deliver anything and its delivered
Khana Lagur
It will be up to Jock Tamson's bairns to decided if the Vow has been delivered. Not the Daily fuqqin Record, some snivelling member of the Lie bour Party or some other Westminster obfuscator.

mariokempes56
England or Britain? Mmm stuck on that. Meanwhile forget that. With the financial shit storm about to happen is it 1) SNP to hold Westminster to account (and take all the fiscal shit) or 2) take a back seat and let labour take the shit. ? exile
Nigel Farage and Russell Brand apparently. I see QT twitter trying to stir up interest. Will this be the most crass circus, or plucky 'anti politics' contenders an antidote to drab 3-party politics?

Khana Lagur
didn't know the people were all Dulwich college educated, traders. ?? Not sure that where someone was educated or what they previously did for a living has to do with understanding people or being popular.
