Question Time Tonight

As far as I can tell they have a Tory cabinet minister, a Tory peer CEO, that Merryn Somerset Webb, a Labour shadow minister and Yanis Varoufakis. Very Sheffield.

Everyone's favourite former board member of Scotland in Union.  I wonder if she'll be pissed again tonight.

Insane episode tonight, absolutely moon howling.

Remember when they talk about Brexit and democracy Scotland does not exist

Bruce seems to be either not capable, or not willing, to control the audience, in fact she seems to be enjoying all the howling and booing.

Actually switched it off. The big shouty man just shouting boring predictable cliches, the whole panel are more or less entrenched in predictable positions, fought to a standstill, the front of debate not budging an inch.

I didn't see it but I'm reading a very strong backlash against Fiona Bruce online tonight. People saying she was completely hopeless and unable to control the debate.

The shows new producer did say when they were appointed last year that they basically wanted a more American style (very shouty, finger jabbing style) as it would get higher ratings

Rhys Davies could be spicy if he repeats some of his previous views

Didnt watch it, havent since they had Billy the Boigot on, I think.

No idea who Rhys-Davies is, but from the clips on twitter, he is fucking unhinged and should be medicated.

Kate Andrews on again this week - as is Emily Thornberry

Thornberry and Gardiner must surely share the record as most appearances by a Labour politician

Fed up listening to their inane shite

Yawn.  To think that this shite gets paid for out of the BBC Scotland budget.  Debate Night is a far, far better programme compared to QT's weekly bigotfest, and it has some relevance to Scotland.  QT is a perfect example of why we need indy.  England is a very foreign country to us.

Aye, watched Debate Night for the first time this week, thought it was a refreshing and civilised alternative to the QT bear pit...

Farage on the Marr show on BBC1 Sunday now too

A party that's only a few weeks old but has managed a national leaflet campaign for the Euro elections and has millions in funding ......

The BBC is left wing though .......

4 odious ultra yoons versus John Swinney tomorrow

When will the SNP fucking learn

Not a fucking chance of watching that.

Swinney is a nice guy, but why do the SNP put him up for these things! He's too easily talked over, and like you said he already has 80% of his fellow panelists are against independence ; no doubt a fair amount of that crowd as well will be white settlers and/or tartan Tories. Might as well just send someone like Mhairi Black or Tommy Shepperd - some fiest.

As nice and decent a man Swinney he is, he's hardly inspiring and even if there is the odd Remainer/soft Yesser waying up voting for the SNP, he'll hardly come across as enthusiast or selling the party or independence.

Because it probably works like this...

Mentorn producer emails the SNP media guy/gal, asking for an SNP representative on the upcoming show.

SNP media person knows it's their job to decide on a panelist. They send out an email request to the party bigyins, detailing the 4 to 1 opposition, and ask who's available.

Nobody replies apart from Swinney, because he's in need of profile and has experience.
