Wee story. Some would say grasping at straws but hey its Sunday morning and what else can I do as we watch the count down to our match with destiny.

Last November after the defeat at Wembley me and my mates chewed over our chances of getting second place. With the exception of me everyone said our chances were nil and that the only question was when Strachan would get punted/leave. 

As my mates questioned my mental health I said that we would get second.

As a way or reassuring them I looked not just at Scotland`s games from round 5 to 10 but also the other games in the group.

Now let me say to all and sundry I don`t bet , I don`t howl at the moon nor do I wear an ill fitting  anorak complete with notebook and John Lennon specs, but of the 15 games played from round 5 I have managed to predict the correct outcome for all of them. Not that diificult I hear you say but this includes our draw with England and even Malta at home to Lithuania.

So with this in mind my predictions for today are ------cue drum roll;

Lithuania 0 England 2.

Slovakia 3 Malta 0.

Slovenia 0 Scotland 2.

 

Here`s hoping.

bookies going 7/4 tonight which allowing their % is 2/1 odds on the playoff I would make us 2/1 on average again making 9/1
