Ormond
We try our hardest usually to find the most local of local shit we can find. Obviously away from the centre. Don't get me wrong, we mingle with the busier places the TA gather and have fun making cvnts o' ourselves. But I enjoy mixing with locals for a bit too. I'm the same, I like the ta banter but enjoy sitting in a bar full of locals out of the center. Seen a few write ups recommending the piano man https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g2699075-d7990729-Reviews-Piano_Man-Vilnius_County.html and bizarrely the university pub, seems to get a good mention. 2 hours ago, chewie said: Some of these look pretty good. https://theculturetrip.com/europe/lithuania/articles/top-10-bars-in-vilnius-old-town-lithuania/ Cheers, some decent on this too! Cheers, some decent on this too! Piano Man is usually packed to the door, although a couple of weeks ago the street was reduced to one lane, to make way for outdoor seating. In general Islandijos (Iceland) street is packed with pubs and was very trendy a couple of years ago. Brand new https://www.facebook.com/HootersLietuva/ is nearby too The area around the station/stadium and old town wall is apparently very cool now with lots of new pubs full of craft ales and hipsters, Leith-like. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/54.6741633,25.2849777/54.6740556,25.2858265/Peronas/@54.6715639,25.284452,17z/data=!4m25!4m24!1m15!3m4!1m2!1d25.2829514!2d54.6725221!3s0x46dd946a75b2aa8b:0xdf3578b51ce6b1b7!3m4!1m2!1d25.2844234!2d54.6710347!3s0x46dd94418ca38bd5:0x2321f336f77e60b1!3m4!1m2!1d25.2891755!2d54.6719494!3s0x46dd944105496339:0xd617edc2338a4c40!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x0:0x289b96e996cb043f!2m2!1d25.2832907!2d54.6697033!3e2 @Peronasbaras, next to the station is a must for train lovers, with seating on the former mail loading platform, can watch the trains go by, good size. Avoid Portobelo, which is by default home support pub. Again it is Vilnius City Fiesta festival on those days and start of school year, so expect plenty of action and longer than usual waiting times http://www.vilnius-events.lt/en/event/vilnius-city-fiesta-2017/ Edited August 16, 2017 by LTunited

KENTTA
Some genius (can't remember who) put together a guide for our visit to Slovakia and in particular Bratisava. It included a suberb section on on bars/pubs and it was spot on. If you can please produce one for Vinius and indeed for Ljubljana it would be much appreciated. Cheers
kayjay
Have stayed in Vilnius 3 times. One of the old SFA travel guides recommended a basement (bunker) restaurant. Food was great. Full of Scottish fans. Would appreciate if anyone can remember the name. Edited August 18, 2017 by kayjay

Alzay
Spent a grand few days in rePUBlic bar about 8 weeks ago with the Saints in Europe, the beers decent and the foods good. It also has a downstairs sitting area so should take a decent number.

I'm going to check this place out later once I've done a wee bit of culture.

Ormond
I walked into that Crazy Bull for a pish yesterday. Places like that are never my thing anyway but this was bad. It looks like it's just a hall that gets set up for sweaty bawbags every once in a while. Definitely not a pub.
