Joking and or rivalries and bigotry put aside. He suffers from mental illness and I sincerely hope he isn’t having an “incident”. The high pressure situations he is in surely can’t be a help with his illness.

Or more specifically, depression?

Last season was exceptional so I don't think we've regressed that much but if you are looking for reasons......patchy recruitment, a lack of urgency in some games, a hefty injury list in the first half of the season (especially Griffiths and Roberts) , a general improvement in some of the other sides tactically and technically and a hefty programme of games just about covers it.

Rogic, Dembele and Armstrong were also all huge players last season and have all missed fair bits of this season with injury. Add in the two you mention and also Sinclair not being at the levels he was at last season, its easy to see why Celtic haven't seemed as impressive this season. Factor in those players who have missed games this season and it starts to look a bit more impressive a campaign IMO.

The three you mention all seen quite likely to leave in the summer so that'll have to be addressed asap. Would have preferred to have kept a hold of Roberts but he's not contributed much even when fit this season so not overly fussed. Hopefully Forrest will have another strong season and make it even less of a loss.

Hopefully one of Christie or Morgan can fill the gap that Roberts will leave.

Morgan might but from what I've seen and heard of Christie he's not going to be good enough.
