AOC is basically saying what two nobel laureate economists say ( Paul Krugman and Peter Diamond ). In fact hers is the measured down approach, she wants a 70% tax-rate for earnings over 10 million dollars. They have to go through the democrat or republican process. Is the 70% tax rate more or less obscene than say starvation or dying of preventable disease. The effective tax-rate would hardly move. this is just one upper band. Eisenhower,Kennedy, Johnson,nixon,carter all had higher top bands etc. I'll maybe watch the video, i notice the lack of notes below his presentation but you can buy his t-shirts or books.
