I'm pwoud. Vewwy pwoud.

I think this has been the longest thread I've ever started here.

Good effort, but it will never compete with the Rangers dying thread 😆

Salmond is up there with George cunting Galloway when it comes to oratory debating skills.

Salmond was one of the few in the HoC who could regularly needle PM Tony Blair at the height of its powers... when that wank could silence most of the opposition by that trademark 'forgive them for they know not what they do' pious cunt shite.... But Salmond had the cunts number and would ring it regularly.

Who is even getting close to rattling anyone anywhere by anyone in the SNP?  The is the weakest SNP I have ever seen yet bizarrely the 'strongest'. The SNP are soft bags of shite who could not give a pillow a fight.

Sturgeon and Blackford aren’t bad, but they are miles behind the Salmond and Robertson level. Sturgeon in particular has been a massive let down in my opinion.

I've already had this argument elsewhere.

All this does is show Bill doesn't understand what was said. AOC is basically saying what two nobel laureate economists say ( Paul Krugman  and  Peter Diamond ). In fact hers is the measured down approach, she wants a 70% tax-rate for earnings over 10 million dollars.

Krugman says it is " fully in line with serious economic research "

I would lay off her if she was not put on a pedestal by the snp folk on here and actually criticized for her failings. It is all wrapped in this identity politics shite to the point she is beyond criticism. You are a misogynist apparently if you think she might be a bit pish at what she is doing. No wonder they took Salmond out the picture... maybe.

Did you see this?

Sure the guy is called Mr Regan but he ain’t far wrong. She is a puppet candidate.

Bill is also bang on the money in his rant IMO. I don’t know how anyone can advocate a 70% tax on anything. It is obscene.

All candidates are puppet candidates. They have to go through the democrat or republican process.

Is the 70% tax rate more or less obscene than say starvation or dying of preventable disease.

The effective tax-rate would hardly move. this is just one upper band. Eisenhower,Kennedy, Johnson, nixon, carter all had higher top bands etc.

I'll maybe watch the video, i notice the lack of notes below his presentation but you can buy his t-shirts or books. Seems a bit identity politics for me.

Agreed. I couldn’t give a fuck if the leader of the party with the best route to independence is a man, woman, goat or a chicken. If they are making a bit of a cunt of it, they need called out for it.

Well we're discussing the veracity of her economic plan, not who's pulling the strings. Someone is always pulling the strings. That video is about pulling the strings.

There is pulling the strings and then pulling the strings... obviously this guy is a 'conservative' but it is worth watching. It is not her plan.

The "left" in America isn't the same as the left here, imagine a true socialist tweeting folks workplaces to get a random worker the sack? That would be anathema to the movement.

Time will tell, she's getting attacked like any whiff of left wing politics anywhere in the world.

Strip out all the partisanship, and it's an interesting video. What's new about it though? Are the Justice Democrats not just copying what the Tea Party did in the GOP, or even Momentum in the Labour party?

Apparently the Tea party started as a protest at the 9-11 commission and the banking bailout, not as a means to drag the Republican Party further to the right.

I know what you mean. It is a grey area. As long as folk know what is behind AOC I think we have to leave it up to them. But do they really know?

That is very funny, and true,  though I am gutted he didnt get to the passive aggressive mother in law discussion.

Thanks for posting it Bill.

Why would you spend millions on preparing for No deal if you had no intention of a No deal

Said it before

Centre of gravity of Conservative Party clearly shifting to No Deal Brexit, DUP already prefer it to WA. Just saying.
