SNP are surely going to win every single mainland Scottish council?

And they'll win Na h-Eileanan Iar tomorrow surely.

Even though the Lib Dems won in Orkney and Shetland, the SNP made a significant dent into their vote.

So did the Brexit party

Dumfries was another close one but the SNP won that too

Looks like it's going to be SNP 3 seats, Brexit 1, Lib Dems 1 and Tories 1.

Just catching up. If so it's a historic gain for SNP? In effect at the expense of Labour. Isn't that the news?

Brexit party swap with UKIP. No big deal.

p.s. BBC making out Brexit surge but they got no more seats the UKIP, and Tory plus brexit made no gains at all.

Only Moray on the mainland to be announced, but its looking like a clean sweep for the SNP.

Ruth Davidson finally appears on twitter saying they have effectively held up in Scotland. That woman has some brass neck, next First Minister of Scotland though...

Edit, just announced that Moray has been won, its a clean sweep after all.

The Tories have had the worst election for a governing party for nearly 200 years.

Not according to Ruth the Mooth ...............

Pleasantly surprised with the vote however  this does not call from a knee jerk reaction from sturgeon,, wait for bojo to become PM. This will be very very interesting how the tories play this as they will do anything to win back the brexit leaning tories. They have a choice to make! Elect bojo ton appease casual voting tories in England  and the expense of any gains they have made in scotland, effectively giving up on scotland. Very interesting

Thinking about it now I can see the logic of pressing now. The Westminster government having to fight on two fronts - Brexit and Scottish Independence will leave them thin on the ground and prioritising. Obviously, indyref2 won't be granted until Brexit is sorted but if you don't ask you don't get.
