slasher
Sad to see the story of Billy's dementia become public today. A true gent and a giant of the game up here.
Toepoke
Sad to hear. Becoming a real epidemic among old footballers sadly.
sbcmfc
Read the story earlier and was saddened by It. Horrible illness regardless of how old you are.
aaid
Had the pleasure to meet him on a number of occasions over the years and a more humble guy - considering what he achieved in the game - you couldn't hope to meet. An absolute gentleman.
Toepoke
Odd that these cases of "potentially" football related dementia are on the rise. Presumably previous generations of players didn't live long enough for the symptoms to be noticed widespread? Ally Bongo
It's really sad seeing what it has done to him Agree 100% with Aaid I have no love for Celtic but when he unveiled the statue of him at CP a few years ago it was obvious what was happening and i was quite upset. Probably because he was a notable figure for a large part of my life Great player, Good manager, good pundit and excellent raconteur Edited February 26, 2017 by Ally Bongo

Astonishing. He really is Mr. Celtic!

EddardStark
Very sad. A great captain and one of the iconic names of Scottish football.
