I'd like an explanation of that. But I won't get one that makes any sense if I get one at all. You have to cut him some slack here. He's only been studying this for a few hundred hours.

Selective evidence is no evidence at all. The same scientist confirmed that the other piece of moon rock in the museum is genuine. But undoubtedly he's just part of the conspiracy as well. Which begs the question of why Scott would believe his opinion about the first piece.

What Scotty is claiming is that every single scientist/astronomer/Joe Bloggs in the world who owns a half decent telescope are all part of this conspiracy and every one of them sworn to secrecy even though they have no connection at all with NASA. Truly bizarre.

Which is probably why my questions go unanswered - I'm compromised in some way in his world.

biffer Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 And as Scott knows, because he's seen it, the level of drunk I get pretty much ensures I wouldn't keep my mouth shut if I was part of a conspiracy.

Just wondered how much your silence would cost? Then work out how much NASA would have had to pay to the Russian population, every scientist, every astronomer and every amateur star gazer in the world there is. Eg £10,000 by around 500 million people - I wonder if Scotty would care to work out how much money that is?

Or an acknowledgement that he misled us about Biblical Hebrew using 'sphere'. Or a rebuttal of the '79 - '82 polar circumnavigation, following his claim that such a thing had never been attempted.

Scott's previously said the only bible that counts is the James I bible and anything in the hebrew text isn't relevant.
Caledonian Craig Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Very odd. Scotty thinks it unbelievable man landed on the moon but professes to a belief in god. Really? God can't have too much in the way of powers when you consider all the wars, calamities, genocides, famine and ploagues there are in the world and he/she/it stands by and watches.
