  1. I know this is mentioned in another thread, but I believe it needs a thread of its own. Jack straw is quoted in the Times as saying that Westminster should enshrine a law that says "This Union is now indissoluble" He is quoted as saying: "If independence would have been for good, so must the decision to stay. You can't pull a living plant up by the roots again and again, and expect it to survive. Put this commitment to the Union is primary Westminster legislation." Story at http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/opinion/columnists/article4212654.ece but it's behind their paywall I knew they would come out with this at some point, but I didn't think it would be so quickly. It's probably a good thing that everything is unravelling so quickly. The promises will be fresh in the minds of the 55, and they will hopefully see that they were duped. This man is not to be trusted. He is an utter khunt. He's the guy that repeatedly refused to have an inquest into Hillsborough, and now he wants to deny the Scottish people their democratic right to a future referendum if we were to vote for a party who had this as a manifesto pledge.
