  1. Convenient for the media that Jack contrived to appear after Sturgeon. Allowed them to trumpet their pish with a straight face.
  2. I went up the Zugspitze years ago with wife & weans via cable car (expensive). If you go, save the beers for afterwards as the summit rocks were like polished glass, though maybe they've fixed the handrail by now. Oh, and there's a pub at the cablecar top 😄
  3. Worth a visit before the game as not a long way from Munich.
  4. Some of what the Wee Ginger Dug says (in tomorrow's National?): They have cut off the head TWICE, and are currently destroying the independence movement, and some folk think letting Starmer's Brit Nat Tories take Scottish seats will be a good idea! Have a wee think about it.
  5. You mean Hungary-Germany & Hungary-Switzerland? 😬 Who you supporting?
  6. Outside my area, but always loved Waterfalls (above). Deep Purple are of my eon, but they fractured & rebuilt umpteen times and I never kept track, so great to see Ian Paice there (in 2007; seems like yesterday) and the keyboard guy did a good job too.
  7. The album is The Beginning of All Things to End if that helps avoid a ploughed field 😘

    New jersey

Not gonna ask what the Mrs spent on the dug's 🙉
  9. Tempted to say New Jersey 1976, but... https://www.songkick.com/artists/466977-kool-and-the-gang/calendar/countries/84-germany
  10. 10,000 Maniacs earlier here. 'Cause I couldn't make my mind up which to post.
  11. Let me just first say S'Eggy that I am enjoying your additions to the thred. But, I have personal experience that not everyone is going to appreciate one's songs the same as we do... Only today Mrs Grimm berated one of my favourites (maybe one for my own humanist funeral playlist ffs) with "wtf is that shite". Now. If I go first, how do I stop her getting to pick the songs for my funeral? 😆
  12. @StirlingEgg from what I can see JSBX were at he Garage in '99. I think I saw them at the QMU in '02, so you're way ahead of me there; and that was my first gig in 9 years. (I'd got into 90s music, but just me and never thought to go.) The start of my mid-life crisis if you like 😂 So I did go to the student's union with some new alt pals, but ironically one of our party, a day short of his 18th was refused. Sad but funny, and we love to remind him. The upstairs gallery was fairly empty except for a lovely pregnant lass giving her well underage wean a grand night out.
  13. This theme lends itself to posting new stuff, but I can't help myself 😁
